Crash-landing on the surface of a desert (and deserted) planet, the remaining crew of the Morningstar find themselves trapped as the ship itself is heavily damaged and the engineer is found dead. Only Captain Novak and Powell are left alive after the less-than-stellar descent. Unfortunately, the captain is of little help as he has been injured – a steel rod having pierced his chest. The only thing keeping him out of death’s cold embrace is the suit’s medical functions. It’s up to Powell to find a way to remove it and save his captain’s life. (continue reading…)
