Ok, this is going to be apointless post, btu I'm going ahead with it anyway.
I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want to be a pasrt of this team! But problem: I can't draw or solor for crap, and I dont know Jack about programming. Is there ANYTHING I can do to help out this team? I've always wanted to be a part of something like this. Even if it's a small thing, and I Don't know ANYHTHING about the plot or anything, that's still okay.
The one think i DO have, though, is that I'm a good organizer when I need to be (my room is a mess, but I'm the only one who sees it, everywhere else, especially at work, I'm very organized).

Or maybe I could a beta teater or somethign when the game is close to finished? I want to help do SOMETHING, even if it's small. And it's not just because I want to see my name in the credits (I'll amdit I do, who wouldn't?), but I just want to be a part of something big like this.

My problem is time! I don't have enough! I have talent in areas of illustration and writing, but I'm in my last two years at high - school and you know!
I also, just don't have the freedom (too many personal commitments).
I'll just have too wait, but at least We're here to support you all in this great job!

Right now, there are no main vacancy urge need, on the team they are constants update of new members every now and then, because since the expectations demand, we are not having people hanging around on the team that actually there is right now, members we do not know status of, if they still alive or anything, but I can give you a list of the things that they are not considering right now: music, writting, webteam and pr.
About programming is not sure they could but right now on programming and art department are the constant opens, and still there are several members right now, we might have to do a status locate on the members and get back to you later, to be serious, there is a lot that needs to be done and perhaps they are about to check that up, If I get to know about something else about it, I'll get back to it here.
At the moment the newsletter team has been put on a hold as well, they are working right now focused on the core game, and they have given more time to it at the moment.
I understand perfectly. As the first line in this thread suggests, I wasn't holding my breath at all.
I'm a fast worker when I need to be (especially when it's something I like doing), so if I WAS on the team (hypotheically speaking, of course), I don't think deadlines would be an issue for me, but you all don't know me that well, so My word cannot convince too well :) .
But if you ever need a little person to help out in ANYTHING at all, you know who to call ;)
There is also a hope for all of you eager to help out, like andrea here, all you have is to give time till the projects are approved to figure out if we could see how we could do with people that are not interested in art but want to help.
Im coordinating some projects on the PR team at the moment, but its not going to happen overnight that Im saying from now on, if there is true willing to help you have to understand things around the team work with the boss approval, and i have above me and I cant do anything without him, so in order to make things righ, it works like real life work, you have a project you need to talk about it, and get it approved, you have work to do you do it and discuss it with your team. But I have high hopes I could totally use your help from whomever might want to be part of it in a new project coming soon.

Anyway, I'd be happy to be a beta tester... I would just like to say that I did take a class on testing programs ;D

it would amaze you how coordinated work goes on the team.
the main coordination of the team part has been partially controlled but as i said sometimes it goes hard for the member part to keep track of them all if they dont have assingments given or something. But I think that problem is about to be solved eventualy.
Yeah, I was thinking of something along the lines of Beta testing too, since I think that'd be a cool thing to do I guess.
Im not sure but perhaps like big companies go, the beta testing is usually handle between other team members, inside the team.
Well, that DID cross my mind, however...
That's a good idea to do it that way, but sometimes, you need someone who knows NOTHING of something to try it out, sicne they might be able to catch things that a person who knows of it might easily miss (like how something is obvious to one, and befuddling to another).
And that's just talking in GENERAL, not necesarily for this project or in my own defense, just saying.

Some companies let outside people test the games as well - Tierra did, but then they don't have enough people on the team for beta testing ;)
I could probably help with programming, but I can't do Windows or 3d very well yet, though I could do stuff like help with the conversation engine and stuff.
Art... isn't exactly a strong point of mine, unless you want mathematical structures in the game...
But beta testing I can do!

At least they said I could help with the video compression if that ever comes up. :)
