Mhmm... the different between myself and a gentleman is that he'll think of it but deny it, atleast I'm willing to accept.
So if being a gentleman is to deny who you are, I don't want to be one.
A gentleman thinks horrible things but doesn't print them/say them aloud ;)
The terrible thing is, that I'm inclined to agree and laud Racx for not denying who he is, even though I agree that propriety is to be valued in public. :P

Quote*gives a boot to the head to all men in general*

QuoteA gentleman wouldn't think along those lines in the first place
I think a gentleman is not only one who wouldn't say/type such things in public, but also one who tries his hardest to change his way of thinking, even if it is difficult. And when he does, inevitably, mess up, he feels guilty about it.
It's all in the attitude.

Hey, I'd definitely rather have a gentleman. Someone who doesn't play games...or makes crude jokes. Definitely like getting the door held open for me :P
I pull out chairs for girls, do the ladies first thing etc. all that gentleman stuff, but I am crude. However, I don't play games in the sense you are referring to, unless you mean videogames. :P
Seriously though, in front of a girl I'm trying to impress, I'll be on my best behaviour, no swearing or crudeness. Of course, being crude is a part of me, but something I usually do around mates not girls. I generally wouldn't subject a girl to that.
Hey, if you're giving me permission...

QuoteMost girls under 20 prefer idiots and/or jerks (or those who act like one), in my experience.

Again, in my experience.

Then again, I suppose the opposite is true. Guys often only see the physical.
Hey I've wanted marriage material for years :P Not just between ages 20-25 :P
I love how this thread turned into whackings and marriages.
THANKS FOR NOT LEAVING ME OUT.
You all are quite right. Young men do go for older women, but in my past experience tells me not to date those guys because, no offense to anyone, they are immature in many ways. But as for me I do prefer a gentelman, but not one who would act differently to impress me. I would want him to act like he normally did. Even if he was not perfect, nobody is. :P
It was just a general comment, and those experiences are based in High School at the University level it is much different. Strange how a school change can change a person. ;)

QuoteWhat are you people referring to as a "gentleman" anyways? So far, you seem to all be talking manners + a (somewhat) clean mind.
It's an abstract. Same case where the definition of "good person" typically is undefinable.
Personally, I think manners play no role in it, whatsoever. Now that I think about it, someone who tries to be selfless / self-sacrificing might fit the definition of "gentleman" better. Someone who is thinking of the other person, more than themself, is probably going to understand what would make the gal uncomfortable, and what wouldn't, and be polite, accordingly.
Whether a person knows which fork is used for salad, and which is for the main dish, is irrelevant. Additionally, some girls *hate* the 'door' opening thing. In that case, a gentleman wouldn't hold the door.
That's my 3 cents, anyway.

Ditto. But I think it all boils down to the situation. There are some situations where it's highly inappropriate to be crude, and other situations where it's highly inappropriate not to be. XD In general, I treat others the way I'd like to be treated in return, and 99% of the time, it works.

For shame, Jason!
Tickle war! *runs after Jason*

*runs after Jason while he's distracted*
Oh great... I hate being tickled... it's torture! *cuts away rope and runs*
*tackles Jason and tickles!*
*tackles cat and tickles*
*then realizes i'm ticklish myself and runs away to hide behind the couch*
You're lucky that you are a girl, Cat, otherwise I'd be threatening you with kicking. I always kick my mates as hard as possible when they are tickling me. :P
Ack! I've been tackled!
*jumps up and runs after Dangling*
*tickles*
*tickles Cat's sides*
*screams*
*turns around and tickles PK*
I think I'm going to hide from all this out-of-date tickling.
I'M TOTALLY NOT OVER THERE.
EDIT: *TOP OF THE PAGE DANCE*
Of course you're not here...
You are obviously somewhere else...
I'll go hide with Mango... I won't tickle her so I doubt she'll tickle me! :D
YAY!
Hiding buddies!
*joins the non-tickling group in hiding*
*has a delayed reaction, falls down laughing from being tickled*
Welcome to the hiding group club, Tessssss!
*joins as well*
Hi there, Delorikins! Welcome to Hidery!
*takes up a defensive position between hiders and ticklers and readies his anti-tickling gun*
*blasts tickler off of PK*
*readies his anti-tickling gun...takes a while*
Alas, they take about 5 minutes to reload. *tickles Cat back again, pinning her with tickling so she can't get free*
Guys, there's no need for such violence, you know!
Aslong as they don't find us, I'm happy. XD
you and me both!
Well, since you're a guy Jason, I'm not looking for you to tickle :P
*finds Mango, laughs menacingly and tickles her sides*
That's ok then! :P
ASDFASDFASDF DON'T TICKLE ME!
I want no part in your crazy tickling charade!
Charades? OMG! Let's play!
I would, if I weren't BEING TICKLED!
*teaches Mango the secret of controlling ticklishness*
... Snabbott, you're a GENIUS!
Thank you!
Now, lets play charades.
*jumps in and begins to tickle Jason*
Tickles aren't charades!
Charades ::)
But tickles are so much fun! :D
since when?
lol, guess I've always thought they were :P
*tickles Cat's left armpit*
Quote from: koko_99_2001 on April 22, 2008, 05:17:35 AM
But tickles are so much fun! :D
It's only fun for the person doing the tickling! :P
Yeah. Let's everyone tickle Cat, since she enjoys it! :D
*rolls around on floor crying*
ROFFLE :P
Rolling on floor flipping little elves?
lol, no :P Just something I picked up from Alex :P
I think it'd be fun to flip little elves though. Can we?
Sure can! *hands Mango her elf spatula*
I'm suddenly reminded of elf bowling. :P
I love elf bowling XD
Would the elves be the balls or the pins?
The elves are the pins! What a game that was.. I believe it even got a console release at one point.
ELF ELF, BABY.
I personally preferred the second. XD
I'd rather play dwarf tossing than elf bowling.
Dwarf tossing? WHERE!?
That sounds like fun!
Gimli (son of Gloin) does not agree!
Nobody tosses a dwarf!
Except for Aragorn...as long as he doesn't tell the elf :P
Can we lightly throw a dwarf then?
*tosses Willow at Mango*
Oh, now there's no need to be throwing trees at me, PKC!
I quite meant Willow the peck!
So, we're rolling dwarves at elves?
SURE you did.
::)
*smacks Mango in the bum with a sword's flat side*
You used the sword? That's a shame... XD
HEY!
No sword smacking!
Quote from: racx_00 on May 03, 2008, 01:39:20 PM
You used the sword? That's a shame... XD
What did you expect me to use?
*bonks Mango on the head with a bass fish*
Edit: Why did I say you instead of use?
Quote from: PirateKingChris on May 04, 2008, 12:49:18 PM
What did you expect me to you?
Well, what I was thinking is inappropriate, but I'd replace the sword with something else. :P
...
You guys need to behave yourself.
You also need to STOP HITTING ME! I did nothing wrong!
We are behaving! I promise! ;P
I would never hit you, I respect you too much!
Sorry Mango. *gives her a wheelbarrow full of chocolates*
Thank you for chocolates and respect. WE CAN SHARE! <3
*resurrects*
Ah, refreshing to read the antics the patients (and the Assistant Manager by the looks of it) think of in the holo room.
LOL :D
Mango and Racx have indeed escaped...Neither has been seen in months :-\
Yeah, but he was online like 6 days ago, just didn't post.
