I don't mind it when people I don't know call me by my first name either - in my country, we don't have that whole "has to know you well enough to call you by your first name" thing. If anything, I find it disturbing when people call me "Ma'am" ;)
Well they usually call me by my first name when I'm *leaving*, ("Have a nice day, Elizabeth.") so that's not it. ;)
As for the "has to know you well enough to call you by your first name" thing... that's not a country-wide thing here. Heck, it's not even a MA thing, necessarily. I guess it's just the way I was brought up/way I am that... to me, addressing someone by their first name implies a degree of familiarity and informality. So when someone uses my first name (or insists I use theirs) and such a degree doesn't actually exist, it makes me uncomfortable. :P
OK, that, and I hated the way customers would abuse the fact that employees are forced to wear nametags.

The "problem" is that you're born right on a cusp, Gravity... the boundary between two sun signs. Astrology is definitely not an exact science, so the question of whether April 20 falls into Aries or Taurus is a matter of debate. This site (http://www.astrology-online.com/about.htm) for instance, puts it in Aries. :P
Of course, people born on a cusp traditionally are supposed to be a blend of the two sun signs they sit between anyway... so look up which of the two signs fits you the best and go with it, I guess. ;D

I can't believe that ImaginaryGirlfriends site exists, lmao! It's funny the lengths guys will go to not to look desperate to their friends or family, but in the process only affirming their own desperation all the more. It's a very funny concept though, and I bet they do get some good business, which is pretty sad. :P And just as a personal observation: some of those "imaginary girlfriends" don't look like they'd be all that convincing as a true girlfriend for the average guy, seeing as they look more like call-girls. Oh well.... :-X
And for those Man Commandments or whatever; some of those are pretty funny, but over all it's pretty clichéd. I guess I do "follow" quite a few of them, albeit unwittingly, yet a lot of them seem rather boorish to me. I wonder if that means I'm no longer a man? :-\

As concerns this SaveToby site, I for one find it morally reprehensible. Yes, legally there is nothing improper about it, nor do I think there really should be (I'm not one of those "there should be a law" types). However, despite what the webmaster says, it is extortion. Maybe not by its legal definition, but he still is compelling people to give him money by means of a threat. The really sad thing is that he probably will get thousands of dollars out of it, though his expectation of $50,000 is ridiculous. Even if he only makes 50 bucks, that'll still be 50 bucks too many. This just might be the epitome of dishonest gain. And no, my gripe with this person's methods has nothing to do with "animal rights" or any other such idiotically idealistic philosophy. In fact, my beliefs couldn't be farther on the political spectrum from those annoying PETA activists and their ilk.
Whether the bunny lives or dies is not the crux of the matter. It is this man’s manipulation of others’ beliefs and sensibilities for personal gain that is truly abhorrent. Some might see it as a clever or even business-savvy ploy. So what if it is? That doesn't make it right. Ok OK i know it sounds a bit dodgy, but its a really relaxing thing. You d/l the program and it gives you a black screen with white balls dropping from the top. You then can draw lines with the mouse and when the balls hit them they make a sound. The variation of this sound depends on how fast the ball is falling. You also have the option to change the gravity setting, air resistance and the frequency of when the balls are spawned.

My favorite album of all time has to be Bill Cosby's brilliant 1968 comedy recording 200 MPH. I've had two ticks (on separate occasions): one just above or below my knee (I can't remember which), and one on my back. The first we were able to remove after using rubbing alcohol on it, but the rubbing alcohol didn't work on the second. I think we had to use vaseline on it before we could pull it out. Fortunately, the whole tick came out on both occasions.
Can you burn a tick off, like a leech?
Don't think so, it's usually partially inside you and it can leave parts behind (in you). Best solution is to turn it around (I don't remember to which side, or if there even was a specific side) 3 times with a pair of tweezers or something similar, it usually comes out completely after that :)
Update: In fact, when it's unhappy, it pukes in you, which can cause diseases. There's also a special spoon for removing ticks, you can also use a lasso (???), there's a special creditcardlike card, and you can freeze it.

Very interesting! I've never heard of those methods.
I've burned them off before. And I think I heard about putting vasaline or something on it, which suffocates it.

Considering the high probability that it carries a disease and the severity of said disease depending on your area, you really should go see a doctor and have some tests run, ticks can and do kill a lot of people every year, believe it or not, considering their tiny size. :)

Well, we were going to try burning off the tick on my back after the rubbing alcohol didn't work, but I was too nervous (I was only around ten at the time), so we tried the vaseline instead. We only realized later what we almost did.

I used to be something of a tick magnet. I've used rubbing alcohol, twisted them out, burned them...You name it, I've probably done it to get them out.
Good thing we don't get ticks...
