How do I untie (or otherwise loosen) the net from the guillotine [spoiler]without losing my hands?[/spoiler]

After untying the net, when I click on the net in an attempt to put it into my inventory, the game puts the rotten tomato and the stick-in-the-mud into my inventory, but the net itself is still not in my inventory. And the net is not on the guillitine any more, either. So what happened to the net? Where did it go? How do I get it into my inventory?
Are you 100% certain it's not in there? I'm positive both the stick/tomato and the net get added to your inventory at that point.
I'm sorry; you're right, it is in there. The image didn't look like a net; I thought it was the piece of iceberg lettuce. Mea culpa.
