Anyone noticed during episode 2? Now we know it isn't real gold coins :p
You are referring to the fact that magnat is able to attract the coins?
If you're referring to the mag-gnat, keep in mind that it does come from the Isle of Wonder, which is noted for having ... alternative laws of science. Perhaps there, magnets are attracted to gold, but not iron.
Uh oh. Here we go again. ;)
Oh, alright then. It was just funny at first when I could use gold coins to actually magnetize XD
*has a flashback*
It would be deliciously funny if later in game, people would find out the coins king was giving away willy-nilly are actually fake, and demanded real ones.
Mad, I'd say Graham would be S.O.L. with that one unless he could get in touch with old King Midas.
There's no reason for it not to be real.. he has a magic chest with infinite gold ;D
Which kinda makes me wonder what the point is for having it minted.. but ya know. Fantasy.
Ah, but the gold he is now carrying came from Alexander. Maybe Abdul Alhazered secretly replaced all of the gold in the Green Isles with gold-plated iron?
Oh yeah I forgot that the Daventry coin from Chapter 1 isn't the same gold as bag of gold from Alexander.
CONSPIRACY CONFIRMED
I knew it! Alexander is creating counterfeit gold to compete with the Daventry magic chest. And because Alexander knows Graham is so "giving" with his gold, what perfect way to have your fake money laundered! Graham! Look out! A Poooooooiisonous snake!

How much do you wanna bet that the factory is hiding on the Isle of the Mists. Those poor druids, having to churn out counterfeit gold like there's no tomorrow.
HAH! No wonder the druids don't like people visiting them. It'll blow their little ploy right out of the Green Isles! XD

I know, right? It makes perfect sense! Now we need the FW to go undercover and find out if the working conditions are any good...

hilarious
Let's be honest though, Alexander is counterfeiting to compete with the magic chest but all this time he didn't know that the magic chest produces counterfeit coins! Why else would Graham never bother to take the chest with him on adventures? I mean, it obviously fits in his pockets! We carried it for how long in KQ1?
He never takes the magic shield with on trips either, if he had he could have made quick work of the villains, that got in his way.
I also suspect Daventry suffers from gold hyperinflation. Flooding the market with an ove abundace of gold can't be a good thing.
Perhaps Graham and the royal family trickle the gold out over time?
We should ask Scrooge McDuck on the gold issue.

XD Oh Scrooge... How I would love to go swimming in a pile of gold like you do.
Thanks to the mentioning of Scrooge McDuck, I just spent the last 10 minutes of my life on YouTube watching old cartoon intros. :)

I'm pretty sure diving into real gold would give you a broken head. Hmmm... maybe Scrooge McDuck's gold wasn't real, either! It's a huge conspiracy! :P
Speaking of DuckTales, have you seen Duck Talez (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/116112)? (Made by our very own Chris Ushko!) There are six of them so far, but I don't feel like finding links for them all.
