Probably not the best way to stop lurking but curiosity got the best of me. Here's a quote from Eriq Chang's Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150109091393463&set=a.10150109089738463.279752.680453462&ref=nf):

QuoteThe Activision Wondershop™ helping Adventure Games "Rise from the Ashes" perhaps?
I have been sworn to secrecy by this silver-lined studio and that OTHER Queen of Adventure gaming that I'd keep my trap shut else I may end up a howling, blood-sucking voodoo doll tomorrow. I guess we'll see Sierra™ fans. ;) Start "WISHING" hard!
Is there any chance for at least a hint as to the nature of this project?
Alright, I'll bite. So what's this all about?

Dang. Ninja'd. Mods please delete this thread.
Where is this quote and/or pic from? And this sounds like it's just referring to the Telltale stuff - in other words, we know this anyway!

Eriq Chang's facebook page.
And no, it clearly says "an adventure game from the studio that brought you the Silver Lining." Then has some blurred out text that is still readable saying "...of Gabriel Knight."

If this isn't wishful thinking or crossed wires, three words for you - Non Disclosure Agreement.
And
if this isn't wishful thinking or crossed wires, then this might also be the "something positive" one of the Himalaya guys referred to after Activision gave the King's Quest license to Telltale over them.
Haha I just find it amusing that two threads on the same thing came into existence within minutes of each other.
*merging*

Thank you. ;)
I don't think it's a new Gabriel Knight game. I'd almost be willing to bet money on that. But if it is some kind of collaboration with Jane Jensen, then I just have to say, "Way to go, guys." ;)
Right now, nothing is happening. We are always looking at new ideas we can explore and this is just something we worked on internally. No, we are not working on a Gabriel Knight game.

If you worked on it internally, why do you refer to TSL as King's Quest IX?
Cause it's surprisingly old, we have stuff still sitting around from years and years ago.

Thank you for clarifying, Cez. :'(
Too bad. That would have been cool!
