I have the butterfly, I have freed it with web b gone, I have the animal skull with the 2 different jewels, I have tried placing the butterfly everywhere - I have tried to click it on to the guardian itself - & - another hint said to click the butterfly onto the stump - the game will not let me put the butterfly anywhere -------- someone else also mentioned about having read all the books at the bookstore - even if, that is pertinent -- I have also been there read all that - -all 4 books on the shelves & the one on the table by the door
The one on the table by the door--what did it talk about? Does the picture there remind you of something you're carrying?

OK, yes I got it THANKS!! -- for anyone else stuck here -- as others have suggested make sure you have read the book on the table by the door at ALI'S -- I did do this BUT, I did not pay close attention to the picture in the book --- it will be a great clue later when you need it for the guardian - you will need to replicate it SOMEHOW ;D - I got past, back to the castle & now in the black world by the horse - guess i got a real job now to do

in the same position... i put the beads into the eyes but i am not sure what to do with it now, it won't let me put it on or click it on the guard... hmmmmmmmmm?
What does the guardian you currently see look like?
I've looked at the book closely and have manipulated the head.
I thought it looked like it was sitting on a rock, so I tried all the rocks around the guardian. Nothing...
I thought it looked like it was on a dog head so I tried all the guards. Nothing.
There was a mention about faries so I tried Edgar. Nothing.
IDK what to do, help
Have you tried just using the manipulated head on the Guardian?

OK, it wasn't the Guardian I was stuck at. It was the screaming lady. I didn't realize that you could do stuff to her after the cutscene thing started.
