Upon reading an excellent recommendation for a new section of the forum, I've created a new category for the purpose of discussing the subject of adventure games in general. This will prevent such threads from being buried in the Off-Topic section of the site.
Enjoy.
Exellent Idea ;) It's nice having a forum with a group of people that are as big of fan as I am about the classic adventure titles. I run a gaming forum (http://www.lvga.org) of my own, but very few there have an appreciation for the great quest games.
Yay! This is much better, now Off-Topic won't get as crowded.
Thank you! :)
PS: Webmaster, any hints as to who you really are, or are you a random benefactor to the KQ9 fan project?
Great idea!
Thank you Webmaster! (that sounded like the end of sound bad cartoon! Haha!)
YEah, really, *I* don't know who he is either! That mysterious Webmaster...master of the web....
If I told you who I was oldbushie it would just kill the mystery now wouldn't it. 8)
Tierra has Anonymous Game Designers....we have an anonymous Webmaster. It all works out in the end now, doesn't it? ::)
I'm glad you guys made a place where we can talk about adventure games. :D I love this board.
well, lets talk about adventure games, its well known by everyone of us that nowadays adventure gaming genre is dead...
I suggest you to say what "modern"(since late 90's) adventure games are closer to the old adventure games
The last adventure games i played that reminded me of sierra games were Broken Sword 1-2, they have too much dialogue i think, but they have something that made them special in my opinion.
i believe that the future of true adventure gaming is in fanprojects as King quest 9 or Tierra remakes.
I definitely agree. Tierra and this team are the best adventure game designers out there right now. I'm hoping that with the release of KQ9, the gaming industry will wake up and companies will start making true adventure games again.
Games don't have to involve shooting or sex in order to be good. :)
how does sex, shooting and adventure sounds ? :P
kidiiiinngg, old aventure games are certainly missed :(
