Title: Where is the Lost Chess Piece? *Possible Spoilers*

I think the subject line says it all.  I have 2 out of 3 spell ingredients for part 4; and am working on the third.

I promised the red and white queens that I would find the white king so they could finish their game.  Where do I look? 

[spoiler]I was hoping after Beast reverted; that time had moved backwards and the problem would be solved on it's own; but no such luck[/spoiler]

That was the hint I needed.  I never noticed that item in there before; I mistook it for part of the background for the whole game (to date) and never clicked on it.

Have you talked to the former Beast  about everything?

I have NO idea about getting down in the basement.  I don't want to display anything that will break the rules so just going to provide where I'm at at the moment and see if anyone can be of assistance.  Been running around for an hour and pulling my hair out atm.

[spoiler]The beast is now a 'beast'.  I'm on the task for the hot air balloon for our lovely sea lady.  I have the quest to get the missing king piece.  I have the big piece of wood.  I captured the painting on the gem.. no idea what to do with it.  No idea how to light up the basement with the tinderbox.  Any advise would be greatly appreciated[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Thanks.. that's so embarrassing.  That was the first thing I thought of trying and thought I did.  Must have tried that somewhere outside just to see if it even lit up (which it didn't at the time).  But sure did the trick in that darkness :)[/spoiler]

You can't until you've been to the Winged Ones' city. Focus on the balloon for now.
