Title: Help Getting the Horn...(possible spoilers?)
Post by: drewboy52 on November 07, 2011, 06:08:16 AM
I need a hint as to how to get the horn from the Isle of the Beast.  I already have the black rose (minus blood), evening lily, green gem, tinder box, lute, harp, drum, and my other items from the last chapter.  Is there somewhere I need to go to find an item to help me get the horn?  Or is there something I can use to help persuade the Prince and Beauty to give me the horn?  Any hints or help would be greatly appreciated.

No, you can't persuade them. You'll have to find a way to borrow it without their noticing...

Two words: Indiana Jones.

Thanks for the hints.  I did finally figure out what I needed to do in order to get the horn.
You're thinking too small... Why switch PART of the painting when you could steal the whole thing? Just remember: You'll need another to put in it's place...
Is there a specific place we need to
place the gem? Before grabbing the painting? I keep trying, but I can't get the gem to go anywhere, and the beast just kills me if I try to take the painting or horn first. Am I just clicking the wrong spot?
I didn't know the Beast would kill me...
Do you have something to replace it with?

If you haven't been to the Winged One's city, you can't get it yet.
@NeonZephyr:
The gem "helps the memory" - is there something you need to store a memory of?
More explicit spoiler:
Use the gem on the painting
If the Beast is killing him, he's already done that.

Yep. Thanks, though. Also, I'm a girl. Just saying.

Still doing it, by the way, but I have some other paths to explore at the moment
Like explore the Winged One's City some more
so figure I just have to do something else, first.

EDIT: Okay, I've exhausted everything else. I have
The Black Rose with Blood

The Morning Glory

The Gem with the Painting Memory in it
But, how do I use
The Gem
to
take the painting
I get killed every time I try.
And, yes, I have
The drum, the harp, and the lute. All I need is this horn.
I'm missing something obvious, aren't I?

Yep.
You need a PAINTING.
But, "tis beyond his rea..." Oh. I get it. It was staring me in the face. I feel foolish... ;]
That's what I get for ignoring people just because their arrogance insulted me. I love Graham's way of getting the jerk to help, though.
