Well, guys, I hate to say this, but starting Thursday, I'm going to begin disappearing :'(...Hopefully, I'll be able to move out of the dorm on Thursday...Friday and Saturday, I'll be around *crosses fingers* but on Sunday, I'll begin my traveling. For those who don't know, I'm taking summer classes...but I don't have an apartment here in town...so on the days I'm not working, I'm going to be driving 1 1/2 hours each way...and on the days I am closing at work, I'll be crashing at any one of three friends' houses...and I don't think any of them have MSN or AOL. I might be able to hang around on the weekends, but as of right now, I have ABSOLUTELY no clue!
Anyway, I thought I'd give you guys a heads up! I can honestly say that when I'm not around, I will SO miss you guys! You brighten my days!
Cat
ok this sucks :(
I hope it all goes well on your things, but anyhow I can't say Im happy to see you go away :( so plz dont get lost? :'(
I'm not going to get lost! I just won't be able to be online as much as I would like once summer rolls around (isn't it supposed to be the other way around??) But I'll visit you guys! And just watch, everything will work out and I'll be able to spend more time with you guys than I am currently thinking! *groans* but I'm not looking forward to the drive every day!
Cat
Awww Cat I'm sure you can hunt down an internet cafe at least one time in the week! At your friends house you can demand to let them let you download MSN or AOL, I'm sure they wont mind...
:'( :'( :'( :'( ...noooooo!! just make sure that you visit us asap and as much as possible, and don't let me post you in the lost and found thread ; (
I'll visit as much as possible! I promise! And if you do post me in the lost and found thread, I will be forced to reply to it once I'm found! My goodness, I've said some form of goodbye four different times today...and I'm not going to start disappearing until Thursday! (as in, I won't be able to get on until probably Thursday night, unless I have another insomniac moment)
Cat
Install MSN/AOL on your friends computers when they're not looking.
DOOOO EEEEEET!
You will be missed, Loco Koko. :(
Well, you'd better make sure you come back as often as possible... Or I'll send my mango minions out to get you.
Awwwwwwww...:(..try to post a lot when you can, at least!
Awwww... :'(
I'll surely miss trying to smooch you. ::)
It just sounds like you're not going to be trying hard enough, Cat. :D ;)
Well, as of right now, I still have a 4.0 GPA (for all those non-Americans...I have all A's from all my college classes)...so I'm going to try to keep it as long as possible...sorry, guys, but my school work is a little bit more important! (especially if I want to get a Graduate Assistantship during Grad school, which would mean that my tuition will be paid for, which means that the money I'm saving up for the London trip can actually go to the London trip!)
Cat
I will email you frequently to keep in contact Cat ;)

I'm a non-American, and I
never got an A, so would anybody mind telling me how that converts %-wise?
Well... IIRC (hey, it's been a while, lemme 'lone) grades themselves would go approximately something like:
A+ = 100%
A = 95%
A- = 90%
B+ = 89%
B = 85%
B- = 80%
C+ = 79%
C = 75%
C- = 70%
D+ = 69%
D = 65%
D- = 60%
F = 59%-0%
(I have seen some places use F+, F, F-, but for the most part, if you get an F, you just suck. ;) )
D- (60%) or above is usually considered a passing grade, although some classes and/or schools might bump that to a C or above.
As for figuring a GPA, I forget the formula for that exactly, but 4.0 is basically a "perfect" GPA.
Peace & Luv, Liz
The way our GPA System worked was:
A+ = 4.3
A = 4.0
A- = 3.7
B+ =3.3
B = 3.0
B- = 2.7
C+ = 2.3
C = 2.0
C- = 1.7
D+ = 1.3
D = 1.0
D- = 0.7
F = 0.0
There were two GPA's given. One for the semester, and one for your overall career.
You were put on Academic probation if you had a one semester GPA below 1.7. (My worst was 1.81!! But three F's in one term will do that to you! :D)
Well, my 4.0 is gone...my first B in my Training for the Hearing Impaired class...I now have a 3.996...so I think I'll survive!
Cat
In my school:
A- is 80-84%
A is 85%-89%
A+ is 90%+
I got an A+ in one of my courses too! XD
I have marks that cover the entire scoring spectrum. :D

I know I'm quoting myself...but I just have to celebrate!! I've been keeping in contact with my Training professor...she had sent me my grades and asked if she had missed anything. Well, I told her that I had attended the Mid-Tenn conference and was wondering if I had gotten the extra credit for it...her reply goes as follows:
"I verified your attendance and with those points, you will have an A."
I still have a 4.0!! Happy Birthday to ME!!
Cat
I got my best grades in English, IIRC. Anyway, usually I got about 65%, and AFAIK that's not too bad for someone who has such a cwappy memory like mine and who doesn't spend a lot of his free time learning his courses.
/me congratulates koko on her still-perfect GPA.
I used to be a straight-A student... until I had problems with depression starting from middle school and my grades plummeted somewhere into the basement because of it. :P
But Koko kicks butt... I'm heartily impressed with anyone who can hold down a perfect or near-perfect GPA in college.
Peace & Luv, Liz
Well, thankees Jeysie and CC! I try, my goodness, it's tough work! Ya'll saw how upset I was when I thought I'd lost it! lol...I'm so excited! (Have I said that yet? well, I'll just repeat myself!)

Me too! <3 Actually, I don't think I've gotten an "F" yet, but I have gotten E's which are pretty much F's except that E's are equivalent to a 1.0 rather than a 0. ;P My school's a 10 point system and a D is a 3.0 I believe.
I was a straight A student two years ago ;D, but in year 9 and 10 i was starting to do work that had been done in previous year levels :-\, so i got bored and completely lost interest in school :-\, and i still dont get many A's :'(

Yes, the teacher has to keep you interested, and if (s)he is rehearsing things you already know by heart (sort of speak) that's not good. :-X
The sad part is, the teacher "rehersing" thing continues into univeristy and even the work force. :-\ It never ends. ::)
well, i really enjoy tose moments, cuz it enables me to take a rest and enjoy the surroundings ;-D

I don't have a teacher rehearsing anything to me anymore, I do that myself. 8)
What
is true though is that you have to keep learning
new things, in most jobs, especially those where you have to use your brain cells. ::)

When you're seated at the front of the classroom, that's a no-go. :-\

Hmm well you can interpret "teacher" as someone that you can learn things from, and I'm sure there are people that try to tell you things that you already know. ;P But I agree that you have to learn new things in every job you have, and that learning doesn't stop when school does. :)

There are still a lot of people I can learn things from. Anyway, as far as rehearsing things go, that's also happening on tv/radio/ceefax. You hear something on the readio, or read something on ceefax and a few days later it's rehearsed on the tv-news. :-X
In my work situation though, I can't think of someone trying to 'teach' me something I already know. ;)
