Some one please help me i bought leisure suit larry 1,2, and 3 on ebay but I did not get a manual :'( :'( :'( :'( PLEASE HELP

Were you supposed to get a manual with them?  ???

It did not say but I just assumed that there would be a manual in each of the games ???

HR: If it's the copy protection and whatnot you need, the LSL creator Al Lowe actually has it all posted on his website:

I suppose you could consider it semi-official info, so I hope I'm not breaking any rules. :P

The info comes from Al himself so I'm inclined to say it's ok, if anybody has any other thoughts on this let me know.  By the way you should check out all of Al's site; its funny and had lots of great stuff on it!  :D

right-click and hit "save as..." on the "download fix" link under Leisure Suit Larry 3

save the "fix" file to your computer

unzip the files (open the file you saved and put all those files into the same folder where you installed Leisure Suit Larry 3 on your computer)

overwrite any files if it asks you when you're unzipping them to your Larry folder

play the game as usual

if this doesn't make any sense then:
- release mouse
- press power button on computer
- cry in the corner
- go watch tv
- bolt the computer room shut and never return

I don't think there *is* a simpler way to put it than GunHoMac did. You just download the Leisure Suit Larry 3 zip file on that page, and unzip it into the LSL3 folder on your hard drive. If you don't know how to download and unzip files, I don't think there's any advice we could give that would help. In order to fix the problem, you'll have to do at least some patching or running a slow-down program. :-\

Homestar Runner, let's see if we can help you. Where are you getting tripped up? Let me know where in GunHoMac's instructions (Thanks for those GunHoMac!) are you getting tripped up?

All right I have an idea. Lets go step by step.

OK lets say I'm on the link Jeysie put up. Now what ???

1) go to site (click on link)

2) download fix for LSL3
   - right-click fix link under LSL3 on page you just went to
   - click "save target as..." or "save as..."
   - click "save" on window that pops up
   - remember where you save this file (the link you just right clicked)

3) open file you just saved
   - go to where you saved it on your computer
   - double-click the file to open it
   - drag all the files you see in the window to the folder where LSL3 is installed on your computer (or click "file", "extract all", and extract all files to folder where LSL3 is on your computer)

4) all files you saw in the file you just opened (the one you downloaded from the link Jeysie posted) should now be in the LSL3 folder on your computer (or wherever you installed the game)

5) click "yes" or "overwrite" if it asks you if you want to overwrite any files while you extract the files from the downloaded file you opened to the LSL3 folder on your computer

6) play game

im no help when it comes to these things :-\, i had trouble with IO error and i needed help with that :-\, im useless :-\
