There is obviously a huge spambot problem. Would it be possible to implement a randomly generated question when new profiles register? Double Fine did this and it seems to work fairly well for them.
Yeah they do seem to be getting better at getting past the captcha lately don't they? We are currently in process of looking at some things we can do to improve our forum security and things like that. Hopefully that will help quite a bit.
Last night I implemented a few new anti-spam measures and killed off 1000 spammers from our database. Apparently they were biding their time... I will be going over the database in the next few weeks to clean out the rest but I at least pruned out any spammers that registered in the past 4 months so far.

It's thursday and so far I haven't seen much on this yet, we will see how we do this weekend.
