I apologize that I hurt your feelings. I was saying what I thought was true. I did not mean to offend Say or Rob. I was tired and did not think my comment would offend Rob, Say and others so greatly. I have been treated a lot worse then this in my life but I will not subject this forum to all my issues as an individual. I am really sorry and I now feel that maybe Rob felt like the way that I felt when Kimmie had the logo of promoting male slavery or he probably felt even worse. Kimmie in no way meant it as offensive but I took it as offensive because I saw it as the put down of all males in society. In my opinion, the world is getting worse and if I could time warp back to the fifties or back to a day when morality meant something then I would do it immediately. We are people and we make mistakes. I have strong views on religion and politics and I will no longer share them here. My comment about Rob was mean and unfounded and I will respect the guidelines of this forum in the future.
If Say and Rob want me to leave then so be it. I have had fun in this forum but I can see that my presence is too hurtful to this close community. Goodbye for now and perhaps forever --- Dew

I'd just like to point out that society in the 1950's had their share of problems and mistakes as well. (Actually, I really want to see The Stepford Wives when it comes out. XD)
Opinions and controversy existed throughout all of history, but the way society dealt with those issues ranged from barbaric/massicistic (sp?) to extreme democratic and proponent groups.
In any case, no one is asking you to leave the community, Dew. You do add that extra "je ne sais quoi" every here and there to various topics in the forum. ;D
Controversial topics (such as politics and religion) have a time and place, but we would prefer it if they are not discussed on the King's Quest IX forums. :)
Almost *everybody* has very strong views on religion and politics, Dew... that's the problem. ;)
And I'm kind of with Yonkey here. I don't think there ever was a day where morality "meant something"... at least, not in the sense of *everyone* being moral. There were days where society was *superficially* moral... meaning that people still did bad things, but it immediately got hidden and swept under the carpet as soon as possible, and people would cluck and point fingers even as they hid their own foibles.
I'm not sure that society is any more or less immoral now than it was way back when... it's just that nowadays there's less of a drive to hide it.
