I lub photos... and I lub the ppl from here, so I thought about doing an interesting thread about where we show pics of where we live (you can go from city till your house)
Im going to start by showing you pics of my home city, Caracas :) it is the capital city of Venezuela, it is a beautiful green valley, check it out.
I'd like to see pics of everyone's home city/town/whatever here, so if you can't actually take them (as me) at least try to find real nice pics of it to share with us :D
Here is a great pic of Caracas :)
Caracas! closer by night ;-D <3
ahhhh... Say's pwetty city ; )
ok, a pic from my neigbourhood... o wait I don't have one... I live in the middle of nowhere ; )
ok, so... my garden (like 1/8 of it) but this is what i can see from my window ; )
I love those pics Rob, there is so much nature around you :) !
lol big garden you got ;P
it's gorgeous indeed
yeah our garden is huge!! anyway.... a pic of my house (which I'm renovating...)
/me thinks it's impossible to find a spot from where he can take a picture of the entire house. Not that it's a big house, but there's trees and bushes (and houses) and such blocking the view from the ground and AFAIK there's no place high enough for me to go and take the picture. And I don't think panoramic lenses can stretch their view that far. :-\
awww, but you could take it per parts, I mean its not like you couldnt take a pic of the front view of your house or something, or like rob did, your main view from your house or something, something to share would do :-X
ok i cant find any of my house or direct area but i hav some of the places i like to go :)
ok julie scanned this in for me. ppl came to each house to see if we wanted a pic of our housing area from the air, we sed no but julie's mum and dad got one, i hav cicled in red where my house is...its poo quality but hey
great house kim!! ...ehh.... I think ; ) ...at least we have a good overview of your neigbourhood ; )
It might take me a couple of days, but I'll find something.
lol, i know its a bit of a poo pic, but hey its from the air, so thats gotta be worth something ;P i havnt got a digi cam to take a pic of my house...maybe i shall borrow my friends
It's a start.

Okay, forget the snowman. :(
Weeeeeeeeee! ;D
Yay photo time again! I'm going to post a few of my house and garden and stuff!
We'll start with the place where all the magic happens, thats right my (nice and messy) room!
Next we have the most important room in the house, the kitchen. Mmmmmmm.
Here's the house over the road from where I live, taken from my bedroom window. Its so hot atm <3
Heres the garden looking a bit plane but at least the sun is shining!
Lastly (yay i hear you cry!) is the pond. Its all overgrown now so it just looks like a big mass of plants or seomthing.
Oh yeah here's a few pics of Birmingham too ;D

Hehe this is spaghetti junction, the most hated motorway junction the whole of the UK, or so its said anyway.
weeee!! pwetty toronto ; )
and Alex is giving us a tour!! ; ) yay!! it is good to see where you all live ; )
Well, I can't show you where I live, because you'll all hunt me own and stalk me ;P, but I'll take you on a tour of Brisbane.
Please leave all flash cameras, mobile phones and any conceptions of Australia that you have formed based on Steve Irwin and Kylie Minogue behind. They will be kept in a secure safe deposit box until your return ;B

JAMES! when are you going to post some cool pics of Nova Scotia!? :D
Nova Scotia, I'd like to see some pics.
kwel pics everyone!! ;-D post more!! ;-D I love to see foreign cities, houses from forum pll and so
Alright...by request, here's some pictures of Nova Scotia.
This first one is an aerial of Halifax. The star shaped business is known as the Halifax Citadel or Citadel Hill. It's an old fort created in the 1800's to protect the city from incoming ships. Before all those modern buildings were built, there would have been an excellent view of the entire harbour. It's all built right into the hill. If you ever visit Halifax, it's a must-see. (And they fire the cannons at noon every day, very cool)
Firing of the cannon:

Another view of the city taken from the harbour. That's the Bluenose II ship in the water. The Bluenose I has a record for being the fasted ship of it's type in the world. It's also on our dime. (ten cents of our currency)
Another aerial:

Halifax at night, taken from Dartmouth (the city where I grew up, but less scenic. :) Basically a suburb.):
Here's some other scattered pictures of Nova Scotia.
These are some pictures from the South Shore. My Mother has a lot of familiy history in this area.
This one is Bridgewater (about 1.5 hours south of Halifax). One of my best friends currently lives there.
The beautiful town of Lunenburg (where the aforementioned Bluenose was built):
This is Mahone Bay, where some of my uncles live. My Grandmother on my mothers side also lived here before she passed away. These are the Churches that overlook the bay:
Another of Mahone Bay.
This here is the infamous Peggy's Cove. It's the oldest active lighthouse in Canada, and one of the oldest in the world. Peggy's Cove is also famous for more recent reasons, as there was an airplane crash here. Swissair Flight 103, I believe.
Here's one of the surf. The waves can get HUGE here, and some people have been swept away by the huge waves. The are warnings to not get too close to the water, but some people never listen...
More Peggy's Cove, but of one of the little bays:
A picture of Shelburne. I believe "The Scarlet Letter", starring Demi Moore, was filmed here.
I'm going to do my last stint on the Cabot Trail. I travelled this with my sister in the summer of 2000. The pictures will not do it justice.
AND, should any of you wish to explore more, the slide shows where I got this from is here:
http://www.novascotia.com/multimedia/phototour/default.htm
There's a little map of Nova Scotia and everything. It's pretty slick. Anyway, there's a lot to see, so feel free to check it out! :D
Anyway, this one is of the actual highway trail that goes along the coastline:
And another:
And yet another. :)
A beach at Ingonish. That's a fancy schmancy hotel called the Keltic Lodge at the top there. Nice hiking trails, too.
An aerial over the Keltic Lodge:
The Margaree Valley:
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your brief tour of Nova Scotia. Canada's Ocean Playground! :D
Remember, there's much more to see at the slide show found at:
http://www.novascotia.com/multimedia/phototour/default.htm
I love those pics James, Nova Scotia looks like a really idyllic place to live...one day I shall go!
It's a pretty awesome place. I grew up in Halifax, but I've visited a lot of those places show. Still many more places I haven't seen in Nova Scotia. :P
if and when I'm up for it, I'll have to fire some pictures up from Calgary.
I finally get to see some pics of it! :D
that's so great, I specially was looking foward to see James' pics because he always talks to me about how much he likes NS and such, so yeah, I was eager to see it <3
Ok i can posts pictures of my house but i cant get one of my city :-\, its too small :-\
<3

Wow, beautiful pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
I gotta take some pictures of our garden at home, it's really nice. My mom is quite the gardener. ;)
No matter how hard I Google, I can't find a (decent) picture of Westerlo, let alone Voortkapel. :(
I did find very VERY few and lol pretty much useless pics of westerlo (http://www.webshots.com/search?query=westerlo&new=1) at webshots (http://community.webshots.com/), they do tend to have some nice pics sometimes (from all over the world) I couldnt find any of Voortkapel either :(

If you found a pic of Westerlo, Voortkapel would have been included. But then again, the only thing Westerlo is famous for (in Flanders) is its castle (which you've seen) and an abbey.
Ok pictures of my backyard :D
Picture Number Two :D
Picture number three :P
Good pics. :D

/me dies of envy looking at everyone's homes and cities
:jealous:
This is Tel Aviv. I don't like calling it 'my city' as much as 'my current place of residence'.

It actually doesn't look that bad when it's so far away :P
