Post by: Scotu on January 13, 2013, 06:42:31 PM
Hello everyone,

I am new here, so i am sorry if this question sounds kind of stupid. I am having a hard time downloading the TSL games, so the question is, how do i get them? Everytime i click on the download link, the page ask to log in, and so i do it, only to find the same request after i click on the link again. Please help.

This issue keeps popping up over and over, so I'm making this thread sticky. :)

I too had issues and I had seen that link and went through the time to download it and my virus protection wouldn't let me RUN it.

Try disabling your antivirus while running the installer.

Even using that link, I can't seem to download the game. I can choose where to save it, but it doesn't download. Is anyone else having problems with this?

Can you be more specific about what happens for you after selecting the location to save the game in? Also what internet browser are you using? Some of the newer ones sort of hide the download while it's happening.

Sure. I'm using Chrome. At the bottom a box in the downloads bar appears that says "TSL-EP4.exe 0.0/1.7 GB, 2 hours left" appears. But 0.0 never increments, though the number of hours does. Eventually the time remaining is replaced with "Network Error".

I haven't had this trouble with any other large downloads elsewhere.

Thanks!

Toss me an email via weldon at postudios dot com and I'll give you a different link to try here.

I had the same difficulty of cycling through log-in.  I almost gave up.   The link that was provided for episode one is: http://www.postudios.com/blog/?page_id=4&category=1.  I'm currently downloading from the link provided on this thread.

Why can't you just fix the site so that the downloads page shows up?

We're working on adjusting this or possibly linking it through our new store, we've just been very busy getting the store setup in general for Episode 2's launch but hopefully we'll have this fixed before long.

Do I need to download the Episode 4 patch if I already successfully downloaded the full build of episodes 1-4?

Any suggestions?

I'd start by disabling Norton while you download and install. Antivirus is notorious for slowing down and even interrupting downloads. May be useful to reboot your router as well.

You could also try a different browser and see if that makes a difference.

I keep getting this error, for the silver lining 1 - 4

C:\Users\Lisa\Downloads\TSL-EP4.exe could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

when downloading. Anything in the works to fix this?

This looks like something that happens with old versions of Firefox or possibly when the connection to the server is lost. Also, it sounds like this might happen if antivirus is interfering with the download.

Maybe try updating your browser or using a different one? You may have to temporarily turn off antivirus, as well. (I hate suggesting that, but for some people that's been the only way to get the download.)
