Hey there glowgirl and welcome to the forums!

Well the enitre KQ series (including colonel's bequest and its sequel The dagger of Amon Ra and some other titles which I forget...) was released in the KQ collection a few years back. I'm not sure if its still for commericla sale or not but you could quite easily find a copy on Ebay or amazon market I'd think.

Welcome.

Except for Tandy emulators, which I don't think I'm allowed to post, the KQ collection seems to be the best choice.

I'll see if I can find any online stores to buy it from.

AFAIK, emulators aren't illegal, it's downloaded ROMs that are illegal. So using a Tandy emulator to play actual Tandy media that you own isn't illegal. Of course, that's provided you still have all the disks, a disk drive that can access the disks, the knowhow to get the emulator to run the disk files, etc... personally I'd rather just buy the PC versions on eBay. ;P

I'd recommend downloading AGDI's remakes of KQ1 and KQ2, then bidding for the rest of the individual games separately... it'll actually probably be cheaper than bidding on one of the collection sets. :P

eBay (http://search.ebay.com/Kings-Quest_W0QQsokeywordredirectZ1QQfromZR8QQsatitleZQ22KingQ27sQ20Q51uestQ22)
KQ1 & KQ2+ (http://www.agdinteractive.com/)

Peace & Luv, Liz

It might not be illegal to have an emulator, but it's not any good without ROMs. If she knows how to convert them(I don't know how), then I'll post a link to the emulators.

Hi glowgirl! Welcome to the forum!

I concur that the "King's Quest Collection" (most easily available on eBay) is your best bet, it includes the older KQ games along with some of the newer one's your Tandy might not have supported.

As for getting them to work on a newer system that does take a little doing an has been extensively discussed on the "Adventure Gaming" section of this forum.  If your still on Windows 98 then you should have a lot less trouble. :)
