Hello! I just downloaded the game and attempted to play it. I finally own a computer that will run it... my last three laptops wouldn't install it. Anyway, I had the issue with it not saving games, so I did what the forum said... uninstalled and then reinstalled, placing it in a different directory. Not it saves. BUT, some of the sounds have shut off. The Narrator voice won't work and a lot of the sound effects aren't playing. The character voices work, and Grahams footsteps work, but there is no narrator, rain falling, or the "ding" when you pick something up. All of that was working the first time. I checked the audio settings, and the volume is turned all the way up for everything and the box for narrator voice is checked. I am running Windows 8... I did read on another thread that the game may not necessarily work on W8, but all of these sounds were working before, so I was hoping someone could help me out! Thank you!!!
It might be good to try modifying the game's compatibility settings to run via an earlier version of Windows.k
