There's no Gabriel Knight section under tech support so I figured I'd just post this issue here and the mods can move the thread when such a section exists.
I'm playing the new Gabriel Knight and so far none of the cut scenes will load. I just get a black screen with the flashing dagger icon indicating something's loading, but nothing ever loads. I'm forced to click to get the 'skip cut scene' option.
Same thing with the scene where we meet Malia Gedde. No cut scenes will load.
I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. Can you send us a dxdiag file and the output_log.txt file in the game's Data folder? You can attach those files to this thread.
Here's the dxdiag; the output file is too big to attach. Is there an email address I can send it to?

I'm also experiencing this bug. It's really disconcerting to think that I may not be playing the game as it was intended with the cut-scenes. I loved the original GK1 and noticing these things leave me feeling really disappointed with the remake. :(
