very dispointing ... I was so excited and got up counting the minuets for this game ! it got a lot of bugs but hey I can live with bugs small problems here and there BUT :
I cant live with not moving to day 3 !!! I have done everything there is to do in day 2 < and I cant get grace to researche the madam at the end of the day ! I littrely remember everything there is to do , then I read a walkthroue then I saw a youtube video how to finsh the demo game (until the end of day 2 ) and I did everything right I cant padd throue I am sure it is a bug !! <<<
please help ..
I have the same problem.
I'm sorry. Played it through 'til the end. Three ends possible as far as i found out. No serious bug in sight.

if it is working for you it doesn't mean it is not a bug .. It can b different operating systems graphics cards and ect ...

I hit this dead end as well, however it can be bypassed. Basically you have to start Day 2 again and request research on Cazanoux ASAP. Delaying the sequence of events seems to cause this bug. (for me anyway)

Load this game, go to Dixiland drug store then straight to Grace to request research.
I wonder... i finished the drugstore, the police department, visited the cemetery and was talking to Malia before i ask Grace for Mme Casanoux address (restarted the game to see if there are any items i missed the first time). Everything works fine if you don't ask for some German translations.
Hi, Wayne from QA here.
We've found this is a result of leaving the game right after Caz visits and coming back in via Continue.
So for those who just play through, you have no problems.
For those who come in for short play sessions and would often quit out, yes you may have ran against this bug.
So we will be putting out a patch to add an autosave for after Caz, but for now, please be aware and don't leave the game right after Cazaunoux visits.
Save manually or go to another New Orleans location if you have to leave the game right after.
I have also confirmed a few other places this can happen which I will list as a separate topic.
Very sorry for the pain this has caused some people.
