Did anyone notice that the Times Picayune had been changed in New Orleans Times? The narrators voice says now "Times dated June..." instead of "Times Picayune". Sounds almost similar. Funny solution, but why is the change?
Good catch on the disparity. Unfortunately, we did not have the rights to use the name Times-Picayune, which is a genuine New Orleans journal, in the stories and headlines we created for GK20. So we had to make the change that we did.
I guess that's the same reason for the hot dogs not being Lucky Dogs anymore, correct?
Lucky Dogs are real?

It seems pretty real! See the attached photo.
I have taken the photo away from this gallery (http://www.wiredmotorsports.com/dankpit/photos/gk/).
I'm just seeing this thread, but yes, that's why it was changed to Doobie Dogs as well.
Happy days, early '90s: Not worried about brand's rights, seeing Scooby-Doobie/Dooby-Doo cartoons and someone smoking doobies. :)
Pretty word, Doobie, like Lepricorn. ;)
Thanks to all of you for the catches, reasons & Doobie.

I've noticed that in the remake has been preserved the reference to Betty Crocker (http://forum.pinkertonroad.com/showthread.php?1155-Old-Easter-eggs-amp-References&p=33348) of the original (Sierra).
Do you have the rights to use the name Betty Crocker?
I'm from Spain and I don't understand very well what's the problem in USA about using brand names in videogames? In Spain there aren't that much.
