Title: Minor stability issues
Post by: Pingouache on October 20, 2014, 03:04:11 AM
Hello,

First, I wanted to thank all the game devs for their great work: the remake is just fine and I love it, really! I hope you guys will work on GK4 one day ; I will certainly get it!

I just have some minor issues on my computer: I experienced some game crashes at random (i.e., not specifically related to one day, or action, or location). The screen gets frozen, I can't move the mouse anymore but the music is still playing. The only solution is Ctrl+Alt+Del.

Here is my config:
- CPU: AMD A8-7600
- 8GB DDR3
- Video card: integrated in APU A8-7600 (Radeon R7 Graphics), and I'm using Catalyst drivers (14.9 WHQL).
- OS: Windows 7 x64.

This issue is not related to the graphics quality of screen resolution we can choose before launching the game. A DxDiag log is attached.
Does the patch1 improve game stability?

Thanks!

The application Raptr is known to cause this sort of random lockup, and some antivirus programs do this as well at times. We have put up a new version of the game over the weekend so it's possible the fixes in that update will address some of these issues for you as well.

Thanks for your answer!  ;)

It's possible for raptr, indeed. I'll uninstall it and I'll see if these problem continues. But if you have no massive reports of random game crashes (I think I'm the only guy with this problem on the forum?), the problem is probably related to my computer (even if I don't have any crashes with the other games I'm currently playing).

For GOG users, will the patch be available soon?  :)

Thanks a lot and see you!
