A fire braething tea pot is a good start.

That's an animal? ??? :o

Jackalopes!! ;D
Unicorns, and I'm serious. All it would take, is for a type of horse to become extinct.
YAY for posting exactly what we posted before (or similar :P)

It's TAZ!! :D
One Tasmanian Devil spins around really fast and the other yawns really big....can YOU guess which is which? :P
this kinda links in with my unexplained thread...dya reckon that like yetti's are real? coz some areas of the world hav dense forests or deep oceans etc that havnt been explored, so we probably havnt found every living thing yet!
i wish unicorns were real! i like unicorns.

both be really fast spinners and really big yawners? XB
CC, that's for YOU to decide. I just ask the questions and pretend I know the answers around here.

Yes, well, I don't need to pretend anything. I know I'm not good at biology, however at
psychology... 8)
You either mean you're really good at psychology...or worse at it than biology. I think it depends on whether I'm in a mean mood or not. :P

do know something about.... I don't think so. :X

...the opposite :P
THE LOCH f***ing NESS MONSTER! ;D
Also, I think people said that the Mountain Gorilla didn't exist around 1900, and it was...well, found to exist, thus bringing perhaps the greatest action/science fiction cinematic experience of all-time to the screen in 1933: King Kong. Seriously, it might just be the greatest.
Tasmanian Tigers :D, but I think people say that they are real :P
Aren't they supposed to be extinct(unless they're hiding somewhere :P )? ???

I believe at one time sonemeone made a film about cloning extinct reptiles (dinsaurs). ::)

I got bored and done some homework. The last official sighting was 1936. Several sightings have been reported since then but no real evidence. So their classified as extinct :P
read on.... http://www.dpiwe.tas.gov.au/inter.nsf/WebPages/BHAN-53777B?open
They believe the clone is almost ready :D
I read a story about some villagers who captured a Yeti that was quite sex-starved and almost human... apparently many villagers gave in to temptation and the Yeti had some kids that were humanoid, very resistant to cold, and very strong. :o
Quote from: racx on November 30, 2004, 09:43:02 AMThey believe the clone is almost ready :D
I've read they've already successfully cloned a cat, so a Tasmanian Tiger, being feline as well, can't differ that much. 8)
They have also done a Cow, and a sheep. :P
Edit: They have four legs too ;)
They must have kept part of the Tasmanian Tiger, if they're going to clone it. :-\
I'm guessing it would simply be blood, but does anyone here know otherwise(as in, did they decide to keep the corpse, since the species was dying out)? ???
ugh...
I guess it doesn't matter(and I probably don't want to know). ;P
Sometimes blood gets caught in tree sap (i think). That's how they can clone dinosaurs :P. Not sure if a Tassie tigers rubs itself up on a tree that often though XB
It was a mosquito that they got the blood from. Sap from a tree hardened around the mosquito(that's why it didn't decay, and most of the DNA was preserved).
Besides, in the movie, they had to replace part of the dinosaur DNA(with frog DNA, which is what kept them from dying out). ;P
Quote from: GravityMX on November 30, 2004, 10:06:30 PMThey have also done a Cow, and a sheep. :P
That's why I added
successfully, AFAIK Dolly was still suffering from ailments due to old age, even though she actually wasn't that old yet (technically, but the cloned DNA/cell was). 8)
This comes from another forum I posted on, but you can all answer to it as well:
What are your thoughts on cryptozoology. Is it possible that any of it is true? Could the Loch Ness Monster, in reality, exist? Bigfoot? Ogopogo? The Yeti? There have been many, many sightings of these "strange" animals, and some of them could possibly hold some truth. After all, there HAVE been many discoveries of animals people said didn't exist, including the Mega-Mouth shark, the Mountain Gorilla, the Tasmanian Devil, and of course, the Ceocoleth (sp), a prehistoric fish older than dinosaurs that was discovered to still be alive in the 1940's. It's entirely possible that these "mysterious" creatures could exist. The most famous of these, of course, is The Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie. Although most sightings are cast aside as bullshit, and many hoaxes have happened, there ARE some very unexplainable sightings, pictures, and videos that have been shot. An explaination for the rarity of sightings: the murkyness and depth of the gigantic Loch. Below 10-20 feet, visibility is limited to around 3-6 inches, and the lake is around 1,500 feet deep. Even the famous "Surgeon photo" from 1934 could be true. The man who said he was the nephew of Wilson, who took the photo, and said that Wilson faked it also told close friends that he came out with the story to break into the news, become famous. People have tried to recreate the photo from the exact spot with the size of model that was supposedly used and have failed miserably. Although it's probably unlikely that Nessie is a prehistoric plesiosaur, it's possible that there is something in there, like a giant sturgeon, undiscovered species. There has to be SOME truth to some of the thousands of sightings. The legend of the yeti, bigfoot, the sasquatch, etc. isn't tremendously farfetched. Bears exist in North America, why couldn't a reclusive ape? The Yeti is probably the most probably of all, though. It's definately possible that an ape could exist high in the Himalayas, unspotted due to it's remote location.
I'm not convinced that any of this is true, but I'm also not convinced any of it doesn't exist. What are your opinions of this, and back them up.

Could the Loch Ness Monster, in reality, exist?
Lets find out over webcam (http://www.lochness.co.uk/livecam)
Odds are in favor of SOMETHING either living in Loch Ness, or having lived in Loch Ness(as in, a large sea creature).
Could just be a large fish though. ;P
Coelacanth is the fish they thought to be extinct.
Was it large by any chance? ;)

Look at some of the stuff in the gallery. It's pretty amazing. Also, go to google.com and search images "Loch Ness Monster." You'll get some interesting results.
Loch Ness could just be a dinosaur that survived :-\, there was a male and a female that survived and they had a few babies :-\, anything possible
My personal take on the Loch Ness Monster as that it's kept by extra-terrestrials in their spaceship and is let out occasionally (like dogs) in Loch Ness because that place resembles its natural habitat most. I could be wrong though. :D
Yeah, and everytime the UFO leaves its hiding spot in the Bermuda Triangle it causes the sea and sky to mix together so no one sees it as it heads to Loch Ness to let out the pet. XB

Oh, so
that's where all that stuff disappeared to, Nessie ate it! :P
Yeah the Bermuda Triangle is kinda mysterious
I don't believe in the Loch Ness.
The Loch Mess, on the other hand... :D
The Loch Ness itself undoubtedly exists, but as to its inhabitants.... ;)

I prefer to call her Nessie. And yes, I know I called her a monster in my first post in/of this thread. ;D
UFO'S? you know that nessie can fly!
Nessie might just be a really big fish of some sort that hasnt actually been found yet. they cant get deep enough in the loch and its so dark that u cant see. think about the depth of the ocean and how tales of giant squid attacked boats...we know from evidence just how giant some squid can get
whether its this http://theshadowlands.net/squid4.jpg
or this http://alpha.fdu.edu/~boyer/GiantSquid.jpeg
new species are always being found in the part of the world that havnt been explored properly yet...the oceans a VERY big pond :P
There are some squids that are 30 feet long or more! :o I wonder if there's a limit to how much they grow...
Quote from: Mad Man on January 20, 2005, 02:24:32 PMUFO'S? you know that nessie can fly!
Ofcourse she can, but surely if she does that even more people weill see her flying by. The UFO has, ofcourse, a cloaking device, so it cannot be located by (the) Earth's detection systems. 8)
Nessie!
Dragons!
Mermaids!
Tasmanian Tigers!
King Kong!
Platypus!
a liger!! (napolean dynamite)
You can see pictures of them if you look them up on Google. (They actually look real)
Here in the Netherlands we have a place where buildings have been made verry small. (models of real buildings)
Placing here a monkey would look like kingkong is invading
(if you were that small)
And have you ever thought about the unicorn?
Yup, back on page one, LN did:

Giant Spiders DO exist! I saw one that was as big as a ZIP disk! :o
correction-spiders as big as houses
Giant squids! ;D They're not nearly as big as their legendary counterparts, but they're real.
Oh, and merpeople are definately real, or at least as long as Jodi Benson is around. :)
are phoenixes real?
I read somewhere that they may be based on a real bird living in the Middle East.
cool!

I hate roaches.

I also hate spiders.
My dad saw a spider once that was visable a half-mile down the road. :help:
I think I would have screamed like a little girl...

Look it still lives and it's growing and growing and now it's as bigg as I am.

lol, a phoenix falafel? XB
A phoenix Shwarma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shwarma), actually ;)
Has anybody said Giant Squid yet? Here's some pics of it. ;D

in fact a north american Giant Ape...
I think I mentioned the giant squid, but I didn't have any links.
Thanks, Mr. Delshire; the pictures are wonderful! ;D
