Serei has managed to answer the one burning question for every Crazy Alexander Fangirl everywhere...
Boxers or briefs?
(ducks and runs)
Peace & Luv, Liz
HAHAHAHA <3 lovely
dont run! :P all girls get to wonder stuff like that about guys :D... well real guys ;D
To each their own, but I'm a boxers fan. Hell, I managed to get a guy to convert from briefs to boxers!
Of course, there's nothing wrong with the middle ground...boxer-briefs ;-)
Ummm.... *considers joining that duck and run train!
...omg, how did this turn into a thread's about underwear?! :-X :P
Underpants!! ;D
and my immaturity for the day is done. (probably)
HAHAHA, neil briefs or boxers?! :D
lmao, just kidding :P dont hate me plz ;D
to be honest I know like 80% of my friends above 26 or so aprox LOVE boxers... its like wtf, you say briefs and they just b**** :P and the other way down likes briefs! its really odd, I wonder. LOL, what an odd topic indeed :P
girls, maybe we should make a poll about it :P, there are many guys here that could vote :D

Hahah j/k, I wear boxers. In fact, I have some that look almost exactly like the ones in Serei's pic... well, if they were black & white, that is. :P
and you know speaking of this stuff, I also wonder why are guys that believe briefs are kinda gay :P I can understand you may feel comfortable one way or another or such, but I agree with jeysie briefs can be secsay too... and the secsayest!!!... underpants! ;D lmao :P
If anyone's curious, I'm a boxers man myself. ;)
I like guys in boxers. ;D
Steph in boxers isn't too bad, though. ::)
You keep saying stuff like that on here, and you're never seeing me in boxers again :P
NOOOOOOOOOOOO
You look disgusting in boxers. There. :P
Well, thanks for the ego boost. ::)
Girls in boxers are sexay! :D
...not that I would actually know though... *whistles innocently* ::)

Let's see...
Sketch of cute fictional guy in boxers + hormonal, dirty minded fangirls + disagreement over which type of undies is cuter = conversation about underwear
Seems pretty straightforward to me. ;D
Anyhoo. I suppose the problem for me is that boxers are kind of the adorable sort of cute... they just sort of bring a smile to your face. Whereas briefs are more straight secsay, IMHO. Still, I ain't complaining either way. ;D :D
As for women wearing boxers... I wouldn't mind doing it just for a bit of fun (prolly would beat wearing most of the ridiculous stuff that passes for fancy lingerie). But I doubt I'd want to wear them as a regular basis. I would think they would be incompatible with... er... certain feminine clothing protection methods.

I only wear boxers as pyjama bottoms over my regular underoos. Like my Invader Zim ones that say "I heart Earth"
Ahh. Hee, I never thought of using them that way. Prolly because for one, I usually sleep in my clothes. (Don't ask, I'm lazy.) For two, here in Western MA you sleep nude or near-nude in the summer to keep from sweating to death, and the rest of the time you bundle under a million layers of clothing to keep from freezing to death. (There's an e-mail joke floating around that claims, among other claims, the general sentiment of "You know you're from Western MA when your idea of sexy lingerie is flannel pajamas.")
Peace & Luv, Liz
But flannel PJs *are* sexy! ;D
...then again, I *was* raised in Northern Massachusetts, that may be why. :P
It seems I can't throw a stone without hitting something to prove, yet again, just how "un-with-it" I really am. For 17 years, I had no idea that there was such a choice. I still have a hard time telling the difference (no need to explain anything, though, I'll find out on my own).
Akril
Which choice? Boxers or briefs?
That has nothing to do with "withness" or anything, heck, I'm not with it at all. :P I just like what's comfy. ;D Briefs get too tight, I gotta breathe. :P

It has less to do with being "with it", and more to do with whether or not you get yourself into situations where you have occasion to see men in just their underwear. ;)
Peace & Luv, Liz
Heck, I go pantless in just my boxers all the time in my apartment. I wear a shirt of course. ;) My roommates and their guests (men and ladies) don't seem to care, fortunately. (Probably cuz they're too busy getting drunk. ;))
...so, does that make me a true Canadian? I've heard that Canadians have an entire day each year where they don't wear pants. ;D Ah, to have that in the US... ;D

LOL! wtf?? :P
Well, if it's really hot outside people wear shorts... but I don't think I've seen anyone wearing boxers or briefs in
public, much less a day dedicated to doing so. :o :P
Lol, I dunno why I thought it was a Canadian thing, apparently it's Texas that does it. Some Canadians have joined in the fun though.

My sophomore year, my roommates decided to embrace what some other friends of our had dubbed commando week. ("Going commando" being aka "no underwear", fyi). A fun quote from one of them:
"It's a thrill to sit in class and think, 'I may have been late, but I'm not wearing any underwear.'"
;D
lmao!!! I soooo cant believe that stuff, no pants day?! wtf! hahahaha, well bushie I've known more canadians than I would actually even realized myself, and yeah some canadians ARE like that, but to the point to make an official day its a bit waaay off :P, btw not ALL canadians are like that :P
as for girls, I use boxers sometimes alright, but not as underwear lol! and about underwear as well as with clothing, there is ONE thing that is a MUST for me, comfty! :P, wtf if its not comfortable I dont give a darnz about how pretty it may be I just dont want it, and I dont know if girls agree but it happens a lot mostly with underwear, the lingery ones are most of the times... wtf beautiful yeah and stuff, but sometimes its just -hell- to spend a day with a bra that won't allow you to breath :P

Hmm. I've never had occasion to wear a "fancy" bra, but I do know how hard it is in general to find a bra that's flattering and comfy-fitting, and doesn't cost several appendages, if you're... er... "well-endowed". In fact, I'm having that particular problem recently. :P

Well, in Scotland, do you know what Scotsmen wear under their kilts?
NOTHING. And accordind to my cousin who stupided abroad there one year, they will NOT hesitate to take your hand and PROVE that fact to you.
My brother wears boxers, he askes for them all teh time at x-mas, and even requests a tacky pair or two. Last year, I got him this awful checkerboard pattern ones with Black and Metallic Gold. This year, I got him a black pait, with some sort of green tropical tree like asymetiral pattern. But it was like an emerald metallic green...the things looked like they could glow in the dark...
Never seen him in boxers...not sure I'd like to. He IS my brother after all, cute or no (yes, I will confess my bro is cute (though I dont "like" him at all, except in that brothery way), and all my friends say so anyway).
lol I totally understand! I dunno what the big deal is... if they're family, then you're not (supposed to be) sexually interested in them anyway, so who cares if you see them in boxers or naked or whatever? Maybe it's just 'cause I grew up in a liberal state that I think that way. ;)

I see what you mean...but it's just WEIRD to see one's siblings in boxers (I've actually seen my bro in a speedo before...he used to be on the swim team in High Shcool). Anyway, if you're not "supposed to" be sexually interested in kin, then by that logic, you're not "supposed to" see them in any potential "sexual stimulating" circunstances.
Has our US "puritan" view on sexuality and nudity affected me? Probably. But since I'm not "supposed" be be attracted to my siblings in anyway, therefore, I have no need to see them in their undies.
My sisters are used to it, I walk around in my boxers all the time in the night hours when I'm home. :P As long as nothing's peeking out when I sit down they don't mind too much. ;)
Besides, boxers and a t-shirt make for very comfortable pajamas. ;D

Does ANY female in this day and age where tighty-whities anymore? I own ONE pair...most of the rest of mine are black! (not because I'm THAT desperate to get laid, mostly because my pants are all dark blue and fall off me now (due them being a little big to accomodate my ass, and I lost weight due to stress last semester)...that and i wear a lot of dark colors ANYWAY...)
Quote from: TakariFreak on February 09, 2004, 10:35:11 PMDoes ANY female in this day and age where tighty-whities anymore?

Mostly because I'm too broke to buy "nice" panties... (plus, who the heck is going to look at them besides me, anyway?) Same reason why I have plain basic bras... although those I usually buy in black.

When I was a freshman, my friend's brother's friend was a senior and he occasionally wore a kilt to marching band practice. Great, now I have to think about what he was wearing under there... ewwww
But Steph likes to think about what kind of underoos people wear- or what they don't wear. :P

Ewww...ok, this is getting gross. Don't they have sexual harassment laws in Soctland? That would definitely fall under the category of sexual harassment. I wear ordinary cotton panties, some times in white but mostly colored, somtimes with little flower deisngs on them. I'm trying to loose some weight so I can fit into skinny clothes and wear a thong or bikini briefs. I have fancy lignerie panties with lace but I am saving these for special occasions. ;)
No corsets for the ladies, the rest sounds fine though. ;)

I feel you here...It seems the skimpiest underwear is MUCH more expensive than undies with what I like to call "full ass coverage" (i need full ass coverage, I don't like wedgies!). I dont like thongs...i mean, what's so great about a permanent wedgie? They say it reduces the dreaded panty line, but guess what? If you dont wear tight s*** pants, you can't even see it anyway! Besides, the JOB of underwear is to pretect you from irritants (ie., you're clothes), and skimpy underwear doesn't do that...
I remember a lady comedian's comment on thong bikinis... "I spend all my time trying to keep my bathing suit *out* of my butt... why would I put it in there on purpose?"
And I agree on the panty line thing. If I accidentally try on a pair of pants that turns out to be too skin-tight, it's the body fat line I worry about more than the panty line. :P

Back on the Scotland/Kilt issue for a moment, I saw a commercial the other day on Tv (though I forget what it was for). Where there's a parade of some sort, and one of the bagpipe players had wandered off. When they find him, he's on top of one of those air vent things in a Marylin Monroe type fashion, and nearby, some kid comments on something, and his dad has to shield his eyes...it's funny. I was thinking about this topic as soon as I saw that...
erm...
This thread has evolved too much since I was last here, kind of beyond my taste lol or any normal sanity.
First of all who has wore a corset here? I have, and they kick ass, it is so not what it looks like at all :P, (normally used, not to squeeze yourself to death), about the thong thing, it is rude to call that slutty, clothe doesnt makes a lady anyways, so plz tone down the rythm on this thread, please.
The definition and perception of sexy and such is in the variety of subjective perceptions, keep that in mind.
I never said I thought thongs were slutty... I just think they look like they'd be too uncomfortable for my tastes.
As the clothes not making the lady... perhaps... although I think that the clothes you choose to wear does say at least something about you. Plus my perception of sexy runs more towards the subtle, for both men and women... anytime you can't see a given thing, your imagination tends to automatically "enhance" it, if you will. Plus there's a certain spark in... er... knowing it'll take a bit of convincing to get to see the hidden stuff. :suffer:
Peace & Luv, Liz
There's this one girl I know who wears a Renaissance type corset sometimes, she looks pretty cute in it. :D And yeah, it's a regular corset, not the bone-crushing kind. ;)
Hmm, corset... I think I'll stick to my t-shirts that say stuff like "I'm naked!"
(I love the irony of that shirt.)
LOL! XD

Peace & Luv, Liz
yeah! perverts rule!
Wait, that came out wrong...
All the same...back on the thong issue..I heard somewhere someone once said (forget who, might have been some random person or someone famous) "I spend all day trying to get my underwear from rising up my ass...so why the hell would i want to PUT it up there on purpose?"
Or something like that. That's how I feel. Plus, I hate it when I hear stories about these girls who wear thongs under a (short) skirt, them complain of people seeing their ass...you ASKED for that...All it takes is a little breeze or a bending over, and you're mooning everyone who is looking in your general direction, and it's your own damn fault!
I'm wearing my blue snake/lizard skin print undies on today...they are the "sexiest" pair I have...I USED to have Leopard print (no clue where they are), but those are "granny panties" in comparassin to these ones.
Talking about underwear is fun. Besides, whats the point of wearing funky underwear, if no one sees or hears about it? :P
Back on the subject of corsets, they are very sexy indeed :D Not that I wear them, when I see other people wearing them. Just so complimentary to ladies figures and it usually pushes everything up too....heh ok i think I better stop now....... <3 <3 XD
Hey Alex...quick comment about corsets...I was explaining your sporatic use of conversation to my roommate on the topic of corsets. She confided she owns one...and stated it lifts NOTHING. Then again, in her position, you have to have something to lift. Me on the other hand.....
Cat
Quote from: koko_99_2001 on March 08, 2004, 08:06:54 PMShe confided she owns one...and stated it lifts NOTHING. Then again, in her position, you have to have something to lift.
XD Oh, dear, your poor friend.
At any rate... personally, I'd rather just wear a push-up bra and some, like I dunno, tummy-control panties if I wanted to go that route. (Not that, erm, fashion designers think women my "size" need push-ups, apparently, cause they don't make any in my size... *cough* *grumble*)
Even if corsets aren't, uh, squishy, they cover too much skin for my tastes. I tend to wear modest "outer" clothing, but too much fabric that's really close to my skin is uncomfortable. I guess I'm just a closet nudist. ;) (Hey, I have sensitive skin, lemme 'lone.)
Peace & Luv, Liz
I promise, my roommate was actually telling me to add that!
My size...they do make padded ones...but we DON'T need them, we have enough there! lol. I kinda would like a corset, just to pull anything extra in...but I'm beginning pilates...so maybe that will make me happy! lol

Aw, c'mon, you're no fun! ;)
Actually, I can live without padded ones, it's the fact that most of the ones in my size are humongous minimizers. I *like* my... uh... "spheres of affection" (thanks, Bushie), why would I want to minimize them? And what about wearing a nice shirt without playing peek-a-boo? It's like the fashion designers think us curvy women all want to be flat-chested under turtlenecks! (Oh, and with huge ugly, baggy pants over our asses, but that's a whole other rant.)
Bah.
Peace & Luv, Liz
My roommate says that some people are less blessed up top and more so down below! Me, personally, would love to be a LITTLE less blessed, although for my size, I am actually right where I need to be! ;P
And about tops...can't wear the spaghetti strap tops w/o a bra...and they can't have straps b/c they'll be seen...so gotta get strapless...and all the strapless are PADDED!!

When hahah wow now this is an intersting convo! When I say corset I may mean something different, I'm talking about ones you wear as an item of clothing rather than underwear as such. They're just the most seductive looking things on the planet imo!
Obviously there's a language miscommunication! ;D
Cat

Hahahahah no, I'll try and find a picture...
*dreads google search results for "corset Pictures"*
I haven't read the full post (if there's several pages, I read the first and then the last page, then decide if I want to read all those in between), but in six pages, we went from algebra to underwear, to corsets, to bras, and back again. Technically, the reason I think we mentioned bras is b/c back in the Civil War era, the women wore corsets as a type of support, like our bras today....now, back to those corsets :P

<sigh> I'd like to Say that I don't ; ) I think woman are quite capable in getting undressed themself. Moreover why would I like to undress a woman? It's way to cold without cloths outhere... she might freeze to death and I wouldn't want that to happen.... not to anyone.
/me hears the sound of the point whizzing by over B'rrr's head.

Haha, I have a tank top and the front of it is entirely hook-n-eye clasps (for those wondering why this matters, that's the same kind of clasp on a bra). I refer to it as a guy's worst nightmare. ;B
On corsets - I would totally buy one if they didn't cost a whole ton of money I don't have.
On thongs - Not a huge fan either. Unless..ermm...ne'ermind.... ::puts on her innocent face:: ::)
haha, we need an emoticon with a halo on it that looks like the one I just used! !!!

Hee! OK, OK. :)
Quote from: koko_99_2001 on March 09, 2004, 05:57:40 AMMy size...they do make padded ones...but we DON'T need them, we have enough there! lol.
Bah.

Hehe, peekaboo is fun. ;) Not that everything should hang out, but a bit of suggestive skin looks sexy. ;)

No, no, you misunderstood. I'm not talking about skin showing (that's OK), I'm talking about the *bra* showing. As in, the bras are so big you need be covered from practically chin to waist to keep them from majorly peeking out. :P
Peace & Luv, Liz
Ahhhhh. !!!
Bras are fun too! ;)
Well, at least you don't wear them...
...or, at least, I hope you don't. ;-D
Cat
LOL! XD Of course not. ;-D
good to know the hormone madness over here sort of calmed down :P
but you don't seem to have any intention of leaving it that way, or else you woudn't post here ; )
The hormones are still there... I just don't think anyone knew quite what to say in comment to Bushie's denial of wearing bras. ;)
Peace & Luv, Liz
Heheh. ;D
Honestly, that bra is not mine... ::)
(parody of Austin Powers quote ;))
behave ; )
Wow how come no one else wheres breifs! Breifes are the best. Which is funnyer (no misspelling)
Just look at homer. He would not be as funny is he was wearing boxers :P :stabs:
