He must be referring to Zazu, the king's loyal servent :)
"I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts, dee-de-le-dee-dee, there they are standing in a row. Big ones, small ones, some the size of your head-" ;D
lmao yonkey, are you singing? :P
;D Yeah, don't u remember the parrot/Zazu thing singing that from the movie? 8)
Erm...Zazu is a hornbill...
...but I guess if you look at him the right way, he does look a little like a parrot.

omg no :D
OMGWTF! :o Heheh j/k ;)
I always thought Zazu was close to being a toucan but not quite... I don't know my animals very well. ;)
I did like that coconuts song though, I'm not sure if Monty Python originated it but they had a great skit with that song. ;D
what exactly is this thread about
The Lion King, though apparently it was made in a different section at one point. o_O Plus it was the oldest thread I hadn't replied to. ;)
Oh cool 8)
personally i like rafiki's song...possibley because his character was modelled on me! ;D
apparently...and dont ask why we do this. but my friends and i like to compare ourselves to disney characters, they concluded that i was;
in the lion king- rafiki
beauty and the beast- lumiere (is that how u spell the candlesticks name?)
out of all the disney princesses either- aurora or ariel
Ok, who split this and made it look like I've started a Lion King thread? >:(
You're giving me a bad rap :furious:
:o :o Storm made a lion king thread?? :o :P
btw, I never really liked lion king 2, it was just a bad copy of part one :-\

My above post clearly states I DIDN'T >:( :bomb:
you're right!! ...sorry :-\
/me wonders if Storm would believe him if he said he didn't saw that post the first time ::) :P
You, I'd believe ;P
ok, then I wouldn't say it because I don't want to fool you :) :P
Eh... Thanks ::)
Storm, I believe that you didn't start a Lion King thread! But, even if you did...

Only one thing you can do about that: never
initiate a topic change within a thread, unless it's the 'useless conversation'-one. :scholar:
Exactly! :suffer:
The funny part is I don't even remember what thread this was split from. :P

Why, I NEVER!! :o
I wasn't the one taking it off-topic! I NEVER go off-topic in an on-topic thread, you of all people should know that by now :-[ :P
If you read the thread this was split from, you'll notice *I* was totally on-topic. It's just that all the posts following mine weren't :P
So, a better way to avoid this - don't post at all (that's a little too late for me, though) ::)

I do 8) (http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?board=31;action=display;threadid=525)
Seriously, lately it looks like someone is really really bored, so to amuse themselves they dig up the dried up bones of some long-dead thread (the above-linked thread is literally at the bottom of the pile), and takes the scissors to it for no conceivable reason :S
*Looks at Yonkey*
*Runs for cover* :o
hahaha, was it really Neil?? lol and i thaught it was Daniel :P
I thought so too... but since I know for sure, I'd rather just throw wild accusations around :P
Oh yeah, now I remember. Basically Bushie's post was more on-topic in that thread than yours, so that's why yours got the chopping block (along with all the random crap after it XD).
I think the music from the first movie, was much better than the second's. :)
There was a second movie? ???
Lion King series=1, 2, 1.5 :P
Lion King 2: Simba's Pride (http://www.ciao.co.uk/The_Lion_King_2_Simbas_Pride__5108972/TabId/2)
However, the second movie and 1.5 were straight to DVD + VHS. ::) :P ;)
I didn't like the second. :-\
who does? honestly? LK1 was great but the other two... :S :(
1.5 was the worst(IMO). :P
I haven't seen either 1.5 or 2. Never had an interest in seeing the second one...but I've heard mixed reviews about 1.5. Some people have told me they love it, others haven't liked it at all. Of course, what Disney movie is better than the original LK?? Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin rank up there, but LK is probably the best.
Bambi :'(
:P
Bambi scarred me for life b/c of what happened to his mother :'(
But I do need to go back and watch it again.
I don't even remember Bambi. :o I always considered The Lion King to be the best animated Disney movie. 8)
yeah, so do I, but it's nice to have a different opinion once in a while ::) :P
I think Bambi was a good movie.
I thought the Lion King was okay, but it's not anywhere near as good, as some of their other movies(Bambi). :P
P.S. It's been a while since I've watched either of them, but a movie that has reduced people to tears, must be good. :D ;P
that's what I thought. I rememberd Bambi as a really good movie, ...till I saw it again :-\ ...it was ok, but not as good as I rememberd...
Since I haven't watched it in almost 10 years, I might not remember it too well(Bambi). :-\
I'll claim the Jungle Book was better than Lion King. Mainly because it's how I found out about the books. :D
Quote from: B'rrr on October 21, 2004, 10:24:20 AMI rememberd Bambi as a really good movie, ...till I saw it again :-\ ...it was ok, but not as good as I rememberd...
I've probably not watched Bambi in somewhat close to 15 years, although I can't tell for sure due to my inadequate date-stamping memory. However, there's not many movies made that can pass the test of time and furthermore, your mind-set now is probably quite different than it was at that time too. 8)
yeah, I know :P
I had the same when I watched the movie 'Labyrint' for the 2nd time ...8 years after I saw it for the first time :-\
Many consider The Lion King the best Disney movie, but it's not my personal favorite. I just don't like movies starring animals all that much :-\
Does Osmosis Jones count as starring animals? ;) The cartoony characters aren't exactly human... ;)
