Ok...wasn't sure where to put this, so decided to come up with a new thread. Just post any funny stories...something shocking...anything that you want to entertain us with.
I was chatting online and Donna was cleaning up her side of the desk. Next thing I know, a glass falls off her shelf...which had water in it! That wouldn't be much of a problem, except that we only have one plug by the desk...and plugged into it is our surge protector which has our TV and my computer plugged into it! And, of course, there is a puddle of water right next to the surge protector!
So we're trying to be careful and clean up the water. I turn around for a second and next thing I know, my computer and the TV both turn off. Me, I'm assuming they shorted out. I turn back to the desk, and Donna has the plug in her hand. She goes, "I asked you if I could unplug everything"...me, I never heard anything...and thus, just about panicked when everything went off.
Ok...so maybe that wasn't as funny as it was at the time. But hope you had a glimpse into the crazy lives of Cat and Mouse.
I saw a guy getting hit by a car in the highway once, that has got to be the most horrible thing I've ever seen in my entire life... this obviously counts as shocking story
He was driving a motorcycle (sp?) and he fell off of it and I saw how the car obviously tried to stop and couldn't and just hit him and he freaking flew over the car :S some cars crashed and everything, it was really nasty, I saw car accidents before (been in two of them too) but I never saw how fragil a human body looks when something like that happens :S
I was in the highway obviously I couldn't pull over or stop or whatever, it happened like at the very opposite extreme of the highway so I just had to keep on driving, to know what happened I had to turn on the news as soon as I got back home at night (I was driving to college then) so long story short, the traffic was held for over 2 hours, the guy went to the hospital, some were hurt in the accident, and that's all I ever knew about that :S
Car accidents are horrible, I remember another creepy one when I was driving to campus I saw they were picking up an accident and it was a frontal crash, ugh, the driver flew across the windshield apparently, the pavement was covered in blood and so was the windshield which was broken... other than that I don't know what happened there or such, really spooky and horrible
People shouldn't drink and drive, and shouldn't certainly be so careless while driving, they put their life in danger and someone else's as well :-\
Oh well... that's the downside of living in a big city I guess :(
Wow, Say...that's so sad! :'(
I'll add something to your "People shouldn't drink and drive" comment...people, wear your seatbelts...even if it makes you uncomfortable!
Ok. Now someone, please post a funny story! Maybe we should get Erik in here. He experienced some pretty hyper people last night (Mouse and me!). I'm sure he has some stories to tell!
lol! Oh, I wouldnt want to spill your secrets, Cat. ;)

Try being the roomie who is attempting to type everything the hyper-active roommate is saying AND doing!
I dont know... you made it look pretty easy. ;)
You get an A+ for being a great "Roomie Go-between"
Woo hoo! I've got an A+...
BTW, you didn't see me almost fall out of the chair laughing when Donna pulled out the can of Cheez Wiz and put it in front of the cam?
Nope! I was too busy falling out of my chair from pure shock! Not everyday a cheese wiz can appears right in front of my face suddenly and without warning. ::)
With that said... ive got to get on MSN soon... Maybe after this test... ;)
One problem...I'm at home now...and going to be busy at least the next couple of days... :(
:-\

Its gotta have IMPACT and MEANING and its gotta take more than .2 seconds to read. ;D
I love you both!! Ya'll keep a smile on my face at all times! ;D
Impact?? meaning?? ....noone ever told me that posts need those two things
/me wonders if he has to adjust all his posts made in the past... :-\
Anytime Cat... ;)
Alright, heres my shocking story. Just yesterday I was walking towards one of the local Gainesville pizzarias (weve got 50 of em...) when a white maintenance van hit one of the campus jaywalkers... I dont know if it was really bad, or not, but it freaked me out. Anyway, keep miss jaywalker in your hearts (and prayers) ... :(
I've heard the story before, but it took me FOREVER to find it online. :P
This story happened about a month ago in a little town in Louisiana, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's real.
This guy was on the side of the road hitch hiking on a very dark night in the middle of a storm. The night passed slowly and no cars went by.
The storm was so strong he could see hardly a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car slowly looming, ghostlike, out of the gloom.
It slowly crept toward him and stopped. Reflexively, the guy gets into the car and closes the door, then realized that there was nobody behind the wheel.
The car slowly starts moving again. The guy is terrified, too scared to think of jumping out and running.
The guy sees that the car is slowly approaching a sharp curve. The guy starts to pray, begging for his life, sure the ghost car will go
off the road and he will plunge to his death when, just before the curve, a hand appears thru the window and turns the steering wheel, guiding the car safely around the bend. Paralyzed with terror, the guy watches the hand reappear every time
they reach a curve. Finally, the guy gathers his wits and leaps from the car, and runs to the nearest town. Wet and in shock, he goes to a bar and, voice quavering, orders two shots of tequila, and tells everybody about his horrible, supernatural experience. A silence envelopes everybody when they realize the guy is apparently sane and not drunk. About half an hour later two guys walked in the same bar. One says
to the other, "Look Boudreaux, that's the idiot that rode in our car when we were pushing it."
How about the one about the girl who was planning to go out with a guy for two months. Two months!! Then, on the day they had planned, she doesn't hear anything from him, so she, not wanting to make the first phone call to him, calls his grandmother. His grandmother asks if he called the girl?? Noooo...did he email?? Noooo... She's stuck finding out from his grandmother that he and his family didn't make the drive...and thus five hours before her very first date, he's stood her up. I personally think that the least he could've done was call or drop an email to her.

When I was young I've been stood up before too, but I personally wouldn't do such a thing, at least not when I could give an explanation. And I'm quite good at providing explanations if required. :P
Let's see here, I've had my hood crash into my front windshield at one time. That was a shock. I've also been hit sideways by another car, that was quite a shocking experience too. :-\
There I was, playing a game of Tron, minding my own business... when CESAR appeared on the screen! :o
I got away from him, and it didn't take me long to eliminate all the competition... except for Cesar. He started chasing after me, determened to get rid of me! Another guy was watching the game, and looked at me like I was crazy, while I was yelling "CESAR'S GONNA GET ME!! !! !!". Then, it happened... Cesar turned right in front of me, and I crashed.
WHY'D YOU DO THAT TO ME CESAR!!?? WHY!!?? :'(
;P
P.S. Anyone that hasn't played the game, probably has no idea what this post was about.
Uhh....yeah.... ???
