I recommend Paint Shop Pro, for editing pictures. You can download a free 60 day trial from their site, plenty of time for this game. Personally, I prefer The Gimp. 8)

I've tried Photoshop, I don't like it as much as PSP. Then again, this is coming from a guy that used hijack95(not sure that is the correct spelling), until it became incompatible with my OS.  :'(

Photoshop is the TOP industry program for 2d editing.
PSP doesn't even compare!  :P

But Photoshop costs a ton. :(

Anyway, goto...

www.irfanview.com

This is a FREE image viewer, great for flicking through tons of pics, ( Pressing the space bar. ) and it's instant loading is great.  I suggest this because it has some simple filters. I actually used it to blur and distort the pic I just posted.
( Simply because photoshop takes about 30 seconds to load, whereas irfanview loads straight away. )

I've used that, because other people suggested it. I don't like it, I'll just use the Gimp. Also, I still think PSP is better than Photoshop. They both cost about the same, so if anyone here is considering one, try the other, it might fit your needs better.

Hey, since we might be talking about this for awhile, I'll just post my opinion's of the different programs.

The Gimp=free, is as good,if not better, than the rest
Photoshop=most common, thus you'll find more help
PSP=less common, so you'll find less help.
Irfanview=free, easy to use, lacks advanced features
Hijack95=good, don't use it, unless you have Win95.

Now to start waiting for the next blurred picture.

P.S. I recommend that the people reading this, try Irfanview though. Assuming you don't have a program you're used to, and prefer.

Lacking advanced features is good for me. I got the free trial of PSP and I couldn't figure out how to do anything. Actually that's not true. After messing around with some stuff I was able to add enough effects to add lights to part of the picture and something else I can't remember. But I can proudly say I'm a master at MS Paint!  ;D

I expected somone to name something we left out, I should have thought of that. I guess it doesn't matter, everyone knows what MS Paint is anyways. I'm horrible with MS Paint, the best thing I ever made with it, was a stick figure. :P
