Hey, my band recorded some demo stuff a while back, and I completely forgot about showing them to you guys. I would upload them directly to these forums, but I'm pretty sure the files are too large. Does anyone know of any good file-upload websites that I could put them on?
Awesome!

Thats 100 mbs of free storage with a (kinda) usable FTP program included althugh I'd use Cute FTP or some other program. The lycos one tends to be very slow on updating how much of the file is uploaded leaving you guessing if its actually uploaded or not...
Cant wait to hear!
Gah, it might be a little whille...but it'll hopefully be up soon, I'll link you up when it's ready.
*waits*
Looking forward to it! :D
GAH, my computer somehow managed to f*** up the two mp3s that I was actually going to post. The only one that is actually still non-screwed up is a cover song we did of a former regional band from Ft. Collins called Tip the Milkman (they were AWESOME, but they broke up and faded out of existance), so I'll post that as an appetizer until the good mp3s get re-uploaded onto the computer. I've just gonna register that Lycos account...
Welcome back uselessidguy! Let us know once you have them uploaded. ;D
Welcome Back!! it has been a while, good to see you again and I look forward to your recordings :D

That's the first I've ever heard about that. But, if you're using an m$ product as OS, that is to be expected.
Anyhow, welcome back, and I hope to see a link to that mp3 soon (and hope you can recover the other two as well, somehow)!
If not, we can re-record them...or I can get them off someone else. They should be up in about two hours-I'll post the link. I'm also gonna post two Tip the Milkman songs just to see what all of you guys think of them, I LOVE them...one of my favorite bands.
Just remember the rules about copyright.
There should/will be credit given at the bottom of Windows Media Player (if it's what you open with) stating the original artist (Tip the Milkman). Also, I met the guys and talked with them for ten or fifteen minutes...I'm sure they won't mind two of their songs being posted on the internet. If it raises any doubt, I'll take them off (I hope you weren't just being fecetious and I'm just too stupid to notice your sarcasm). Anyhow, the file sharing sites all have a major problem with uploading mp3s...but hopefully I'll get it up sometime. If not, IM me on AIM, my screenname is uselessatari331. I'll direct connect and send them to you.
Unless the owners give you permission to post their music, DO NOT post their music.
Since you know the artists personally, I believe it's ok for you to upload them. But we're more interested in your music, rather than other artists. :P
hehe I've been checking this thread everyday now, I really wanna hear! If you've got any of your MP3's then Ill AIM you and I can host them on my webspace if you want?
I've got the cover mp3, gotta re upload the others. Just AIM me for now if you want to hear them. Uselessatari331 - I should be on periodically from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mountain Time (7 to 12 EST) tonight if you want to check.
Lol sorry about the delay! heres uselessidguys' mp3 of his band covering...Tip the Milkman was it? I'll leave you to describe it :D
Clicky click! (http://members.lycos.co.uk/acsauk/Untitled.wma)
I can't seem to download it. :-\
Tried Right clicking and selecting "Save as"?
Alex, did you do anything to change it? Because I clicked on it and had no trouble listening to it.
BTW, really good! Enjoyed it.
Lol no I havent changed it at all...maybe Lycos was just playing up when you two tried to access it? Who knows!
Maybe I'll just have to ask someone to e-mail it to me(still not working on my PC). :P
First, you click on the link to let it open in your browser, and let the lycos 'machinery' redirect you to the member's page. Then you copy& paste the link again, and the file is accessible. 8)
Maybe LN and Dot-a-lot didn't try the second stage?
Dude...you are the frickin' MAN! Thanks so much for putting this up...you rule.
Smoking ads? ???
Kewl song! :)
Sorry about the poppiness of it-we had to change the key to make the cover unique, and in order to do so and make the song sound good, we had to raise our voice pitches ALOT. Most of our other stuff sounds like a mixture of the Ataris, Finch, and the Alkaline Trio.
Reguardless, give mad props to 'da Chinchilla man for putting up the mp3.
Okay, I got it working. 8)
Weird way to download a file though. :P

Anti-leech procedure I gather. 8)
Hey, check out my friend's band if you guys have the time. The recordings are a little rough and the vocals are slightly out of tune/wavering at times, but I think it's pretty damn awesome. Anyone who likes The Used, Finch, or Thrice will like this ALOT.

Rock, Paper, Razorblades is really good, the other two are a little rocky, but if they are mastered and recorded better, they will be absolutely awesome.
