It's time to put new energy into this forum!
Yes, the Golden Age is over, but we are the pioneers of a new era. We don't need to rely on the old-timers (although it would be nice if they came back). We need to start new polls and threads! Post new pics!
Now in order to start this New Age, I need y'all's imput...so here's somewhere you can post ideas for improving the Forum, hold conversation, and throw out ideas for KQX, etc...
I'm super excited!!! ;D
PS: Jafar, thanks for coming up with the New Age Retro Era!
We need to find ways to put new sillyness in the forum, while keeping the classic spirit of insanity.
And we need to listen to the New Age Retro Hippie song. ::)
I agree. Maybe the hippie song can be our theme... :P
New classically insane and neuveaux funny ones might liven up the spirit... ;D
The Hippie Song (http://starmen.net/mother2/midi/eb_hippie5.mid), in all it's glory. XD
The Golden Age is not completely over! Kimmie, Alex, and I are still around! So there :P
(BTW, where IS Alex??)
Game isn't out yet, so as far as I am concerned, the Golden Age hasn't even started lol. I do however endorse any sort of activity on the board, so get posting you scum or I will keelhaul you all! Yar. ;)
Ah...I know you Golden Age people are still here, I know you're not dead! Thank goodness! ;)
However, the Golden Age of POSTING has pretty much ended. The Retro New Age Era marks the beginning of the Golden Age of Gaming since KQIX is coming out this winter!!!
It's just that this Forum needs new life, new posts, now that many of the people us newer memebers revered as deities have disappeared (not you, Cat, of course! :P)
Jafar, thanks for the Hippie Song! Luv it!
Woah, yeah, I just noticed, where DID everyone go? Brrr, Jeysie, Say...where are they?
That rhymed :).
Yeah, a lot of them have disappeared...not for good, I hope! :P

You three are Retro Posters, while people like Lolotte are New Age Posters. I'm sorta in the middle, so I guess I'm a New Age Retro poster. ;P
I think Kimmie & Alex were busy with school, and just now they're coming back. Copycat said he'd be gone for a bit. I talked to Storm recently and she said she'll be back after her finals in August. Also, Mango's back now, so hopefully we'll see some oldtimers coming back.

I don't know how you would classify me, maybe "doesn't post too much but has been around for a while?'
By the way, Racx, do you play Gunz: The Duel? I saw someone whose name was Racx I think.

Woah, yeah, I just noticed, where DID everyone go? Brrr, Jeysie, Say...where are they?
I think Jeysie said she's extremely busy and only has time to catch up in one place right now, and since we're so big, she had to choose another forum :(
Yeah, added to that list:
Mango (who's back)
James (back every once in a while)
Erik
Bushie
Renfrew
CC (busy)
Jael
Storm
Those part of the era who are still here:
Kimmie
Alex
Jason
me
Who else am I missing?
If you were going by time-period...

CC (busy)
I just saw a post today from CC, so I'd say he's back. XD But he has said that it takes him a while to catch up with threads he's not subscribed to (i.e. this one).
what would you classify me to? i've been here for a while (about a year and 2 months), i'm just not a post-a-holic
I'm not dead yet! ;P
My other hard drive went boom, it's been taking a while to get things back in order....
So much data lost, possibly retrievable but only for large sums of money. T______T
Aww, that happened to me last year. :-\
On the bright side, at least your posts are still here! ;D
I can't blame people for being busy with school--I know what it's like! Luckily, I have three more weeks of summer before heading back. That's plenty of time to post, post, post! ;D
I post inbetween school XD
But then I guess thats what postaholics do ;P
I post and THEN do my schoolwork. XD *is so glad it's summer* I think I'm a new age retro poster. Since I signed up when a lot of the oldies did (a bit later) but I disappeared and was inactive until the new era. But I don't want to be a newbie!!! XD
I'm a total newbie--it's undeniable! I had been reading some forum material for awhile before I registered, and got pretty excited about all the old timers and their community. I wanted to join them! Now, I am helping breathe new life into the Forum. It feels good! 8)
What would i be considerd? :stabs:

A new age is coming...
*cue LoTR theme*
I'm still here (kind of hehe) just on a sabatical from...doing...other stuff. Hmmmm actually what HAVE I been doing? Any suggestions write them on the back of a post card and mail to the north pole please :)

That's right! Let's get it started right NOW! Any suggestions as to how we can revamp this Forum?
Technically the forum has been revamped ;P
Visually, yes, but spiritually, it needs a bit of a boost. However, the re-energization is taking place--because B'rrr is back! That must be a good omen! :P
PS: Twinkie Thursdays could happen if you are in to digital twinkies. :P

Let's get on topic!
but the thread is called Off-Topic :stabs:
Huh? ??? The thread is called: THE NEW AGE RETRO ERA! XD
Yeah! *exalts NEW AGE RETRO ERA!* ;D
Quote from: Yonkey on July 31, 2005, 10:16:57 AMBut he has said that it takes him a while to catch up with threads he's not subscribed to (i.e. this one).
I'm not subscribed to
any thread. Only recently, I put a notify on the Online-Auditions thread(s), but that's it. However, my main area of activity is Haven, and if there's any time left I wander into Off-Topic. 8)

Whoops, I meant bookmarked boards/threads. ;D
Well, now the Forum needs New Age Retro Era energy more than ever. We need to be enlivened. We need hope that the Golden Age of Gaming might still come. Vivendi cannot bring us down. We will stand tall, and POST! ;D
Come on, peoples, lets let the New Age Retro Era anthem ring from the hills of cyberspace to the digital planes...I'm feeling mighty poetic right now. :P
So what is the New Age Retro Era's anthem? :P
This is the Anthem, throw all your hands up... XD
Er, not that. :P
If this is a "New Age" then we need a rap anthem XD ;P
NEVAH! *hiss* :P
Post suggestions. "There and Back Again" from the LOTR soundtrack might be a possible choice.

Why, the New Age Retro Hippie music, of course! XD

That would be perfect. There and Back Again, YAY! :)
The new age retro hippie music calls to me. :P
*listens to New Age Trans-Siberian Orchestra music*
Or are they just funage? I know not. XD
I'm not sure...
Anyways, I will digress to announce the return of some GOLDEN AGE posters! Welcome back J-ROC and Kimmie and DRUNKEN CHINCHILLA! ;D Hopefully, this signals the start of a mass come back!
Oh, please post suggestions of anthem songs, and I will make a poll to see which one wins. ;D
"Sit on my Face" by Monty Python. XD
OMFG I'm old school :(
I feel old! :(
You're not old school...you're Golden Age :)
Precisely. And what we now need is to liven up the Forum more than ever. I have noticed some animosity and competition, and also some dispassionate spamming. We need to come together! What happened to making friends?
*waves* Hey! I made friends AND got married here :P

Me too!
*kisses Cat's waving hand*
Hey! So did I!
Wait...I already said that... XD :P
But what about the people who aren't as passionate as you two? :P
I have friends! :P
Does anyone else feel like it can sometimes get a little...droll and competitive around here?
Yes. ;P I think it's because TSL is getting more popular, and we're getting more people in here. :-\
What can we do, then?
Ban people from joining? :P
No! Something positive, to make them relax and enjoy the company! ;D
It CAN get competetive...and that can be blah, but we just have to welcome all with open arms, and remember first and foremost, we're friends. A few hundred measly posts should'nt get in the way of our friendship! Having fun with the gang is whats more important. Right? ;D
Right! That's the spirit! ;D

I second that statement!
So you want to have it by how long you have been here or by how much time you spend on the site? I like how much time you spend on the site.

I've been on the forums longer than this forum knows, but that's probably the same for everyone who was already a (posting) member when I joined, eons ago. I spend a lot of time on the forum reading posts, which is totally disregarded in the post counts. 8)
