Okay. So works like all the other ones. I start by asking a question relating to ANY adventure game. The first one to correctly answer it gets the next turn to ask.
Okayyyy.... The first question is:
In KQ1 (original) what was the gnomes name? :suffer: :suffer: :suffer:
Ifnkovhgroghpm? XD
/me thinks she messed up the backwards alphabet somehow
Oooooohhhh.... you're missing one letter (the R) but I'll give it to you anyway. ;)
Yay! Oh, I have to ask a question now...
What act is the longest in LB2?
(It's 6:30 am, give me a break :P)
Act 5? (never played it; just a quick look at a walkthrough I've got lying around :P )
I think it's act four, where you have to watch the countess, Yvette, Ernie, die to finish the act. Act five is the harddest (besides the coroner's inquest, answering the questions and so on)
Nope. Act 4 is VERY small. And Act 5 isn't very long.
Yep. Your turn
When you get thrown in the water, instead of escaping, wait for more then 10 minutes. (Thats how long Guybrush can hold his breath :P )
Creep- er, Threepwood will drown, and you'll have to restore, restart, or quit. :scholar:
Eh, I can't think of anything. I'll let someone else take it.
He He! Someone else better not take this while i'm typing. Uhm....
What is Crispin's FULL FIRST name.
Crispinophur. I think XD
WHY DO YOU KEEP GETTING MY QUESTIONS RIGHT!!!!!! Sorry I thought that would at least by mildly hard... Your turn!
Sorry, I'm just a KQ nerd. :P I'll get a question once I'm done with homework. XD
Ok, sorry about the wait. :P Anyways, how many oasises are in the desert of KQ5?
Three ???
Four. But there are two other places to get water besides.
Deloria got it right
Nice job Deloria! I thought it was 6.
Well, if you count it up, that's 6 places to get water. :P
In KQ7 what does one have to do before talking to the rock spirit? (to restore the river of life so that he doesn't blow you off)
No clue I'm not done with that game yet. :-[
You have to talk to Atas before waking up the rock spirit with the feather.
Good job. I had some real trouble trying to figure it out when I just started in Chapter five, skipping all the others.
Well... to be honest, I cheated a little by looking at a walkthrough :D
Many characters from The Colonel's Bequest (LB1) are named after 1920s actors/actresses. Name two of them and who they were named after. (Bonus points if you can identify them all!)
Gloria-Gloria Swanson (1913)
Henri-Henri Marchand
Nice one Deloria! Can't wait to see your question!
I think that's it! Nice work.
Thanks. In LB2 what is the countess' reaction when you show her the pocketwatch?
She bursts into flames like the Nazis in Indiana Jones!!!!11 XD
Close but not quite. It's pretty amusing though.
Is she mada at you for finding what's hers?
Is she envious because she wants it?
Is she sad because she wants it?
Is she surprised because of how late it is?
Well I don't think it matters how late it is because everyone has to stay in the museum all night.
Why is it hers?
Because it's her accomplice's?
Who? and for what?
The museum director and ???
Just answer the question about her reaction.
she is mad because he let it fall into laura's hands?
she wants it because there is something in it that they need to continue their plans?
Just play the game *sighs* Some people guess too much-like way too much. And how the heck could he have prevented it falling into Laura's hands?
I DON"T KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry. I have been guessing too long. Someone else take this ::)
Is it that she recognizes that it's Dr. Carrington's? THe man who was murdered and who's skeleton (and watch) were found in the steamer trunk?
Yes that's the one now please tell me: What is the countess' reaction when you show it to her or question her about it?
I don't know.
Is she sad?
Surprised?
Avoiding of the subject?
Oh I give up! You're the only one answering and you're just guessing :P , so: She screams and asks Laura to give it to her.
Your turn Awesomeaspossum
Sorry. I'll be back with a wuestion soon!
Okay this one's a two-parter.... In KQIII what do you use to change Manannan into a cat? And what other game (besides KQIII) is Mannanan featured in as a cat?
You use a cat cookieh. :P KQV is the other game with Manannan as the kitty. :P
Aha! You got it! Yoi toin!!
Congtatulations!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8)
Hmm...
In QfG1...
What is the freakeh bouncing thing in a southern-like corner-y thing in the forest? XD
ummmm large glass objects that gouge your splein???
I hope not. :P
ratzz...umm what about this:  (he sorta looks like he's bouncing!)
No. ;P
It's an Antwerp! XD
How did I know you knew that? ;P Anyways, your turn.
In Space Quest II, what was the name of the alien species on Labion that helped you about halfway through the game?
Pinkunz! ;D
Correct! Next question, please.
Which game does this quote come from, and who said it?
QuoteDon't need nothing from no filthy peasantses!!
Peasants Quest. The guard at the mountain path leading up to Trogdor's cave.
You're half right, Awesomeasapossum. :)
Umm Peasants Quest when the guard is moving away to let you get up to the mountains after youve caught fire gotten dirty etc.?
The quote is from Peasant's Quest, but a guard doesn't say it.
Hint: The person who says this is based on a computer generated character from the Lord of the Rings films.
An orc in Peasants Quest? :P
You're close! (The LOTR character I'm referring to is Gollum. He is very similar to the quoted Peasant's Quest character, both in they way he speaks and how he looks. If that doesn't give it away, then I don't know what does. XD)
The guy in the cave that isn't a Kerek. Umm... I'm not sure what he's called but he's the guy that lives in the cave south of the dirt. I think.
Correct! *dingdingding!* (He's the Jhonka, by the way.) Your turn!
Which game includes the following characters: Poodles Galore and Dr. Quack?
Spy Fox: Operation Ozone :D
You've played that too????!!! That game rocks!!! Or did you look it up? I hope you didn't. CORRECT YOUR TURN!
Spy Fox Rules !!!
Got the second one a month ago XD
What ingredient does Guybrush scrape off of the wall to make the voodoo doll of Largo in Monkey Island 2 ???
*thinks that is probably too easy* XD
slime? or hair?
I've never played monkey island...
Nope, kinda close though
I know, I know! But I don't have a question from another game, so I'm not going to answer :P

You can thank Jesse for sending it to me about a month ago :P
Thank you Jesse !!!
There ya go :P
Anyway if you think of a question to post you might as well answer it :P
Or you could just answer it and skip your turn. :P Or you could answer it and put a hard KQ trivia! XD
Since no one else is and I don't know the answerr I'll just post a sub question and anyone can answer either question at any time.
What is the prostitute's name in Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist and what did her perscriptioon say before Freddy corrected it?
I'll go ahead and answer the previous question. It's spit, if I remember correctly.
Correct :D
Your turn :P
I pass my turn to someone else :P
Okie dokie..... this'll be a KQ related one......
What is the title of the new song for cassima in KQ6? (not cassima's theme)
Girl in the Tower? :P
GOSH!!!!!!!! Yes Ms. KQSMARTYPANTZ!!! You got it. Your turn.
It's Miss BrilliantPants, duh. :P (Geometry nickname XD)
Anyways...in Lost in Time, who does the manor you visit belong to?
yourself?
*debates the grammar in the sentence* Meh, fine, your turn. :P
awesome!!!(asapossum) This should be hard (I hope)
Which adventure game included some of the followinf lines:
And they all lived together,
It trots behind and it ambles before,
and then he loved her very well.
(these can be whole lines, parts of lines, or responses to looking at or talking to an object/person.)
Mixed-Up Mother Goose? ???
Is that considered adventure? The nmortality rate is non-existent (I think, haven't played it for about eight years)
You couldn't die in Lucasarts games, and those were definately Adventure. :P
Well you could die in MI1 :P. That was fun, tried it out the other day XD
But yeah you don't usually die in Lucasarts adventures.
You can die in Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, but only in a few instances. The designers try to make it clear when death can occur.
Well...?
Patience is a virtue!
One that I unfortunately don't possess. :P
Just take deep breaths, and put your head between your legs. :P
Oh, and maybe PMing Moodyblues would help too.
Eep! Sorry, youz guyz.
Which text adventure came packaged with, among other things, fluff and an invisible space fleet?
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
Ok, so I googled for it... but it was my first guess anyways :P
Cheater! I would never do such a thing! *eyes dart around*
Yes, you are correct.
Which Quest For Glory character bids you 'Au Revoir'?
The fox that you free from the trap in QFG1.
Correct! :D
Darn, I was trying to make this one harder. At first I wanted to post something REALLY hard, but then I thought "what's the point in posting a question nobody would be able to answer about a game nobody ever played?". So, I looked for an odd detail people don't necessarily remember off-hand from a game EVERYONE played. I even googled for it and didn't get any hits on the first page, so I thought I was safe for at least a couple of posts... but I was wrong :(
Alright.
Here's a really easy one, Who Is Punny Bones engaged to?
Apparently this isn't so easy. I know that I haven't played this game but I think it's from QFG4.
Gnome Ann. :P
Darn! How did you know that? I only found out by trying to marry her (clicking Hera's ring on her). That's Correct. Your turn.
Simple, it has the word pun in it. :P
Nice job Jafar!
My QFG knowledge goes far beyond rings and puns. ;)
Anyways.
What was the name of the bad lute player in KQIV?
Oh! Oh! OHHHH!!! Geez...what was it??? UMMMMMB...Francis?
No, and it wasn't French either. :suffer:
Frankie of Avalon.
Correct! Your turn.
In which adventure game you can find money growing on a tree?
Animal Crossing?
I knew the Frankie of Avalon!! :P
Quote from: Storm on December 01, 2005, 04:34:22 PM

Well, in KQ7 you find money IN a tree. Probably not correct though...

I don't know this game, so maybe... but it's not the game I meant.
Quote from: Deloria on December 02, 2005, 03:21:20 AMIn KQ7 you find money IN a tree. Probably not correct though...
In KQ7? Where? :S
The wooden nickel in Falderal. ^^
Oh. You're right, it's not correct... in the game I'm referring to, you can pick the money off the tree (or rather, shake the tree and make it fall down).
OMGSH! Return to Zork! You thwack the tree and get money! I love that game. XD
Correct! ;D
But how can you love it?? it was a nightmare :o
All those annoying, illogical puzzles, and the music in that forest was sooo depressing I didn't know whether I should play on or just slit my wrists :X
The illogical puzzles made sense to me... :P I thought the music was cool. XD Um..it's my turn now right...? *doesn't play enough games* Someone else go! XD
I'll take a crack at it. *cracks knuckles*
Which independent adventure game took place in a mansion, on Mars, and in Fathel, a world of magic?
Maniac Mansion?
Nope, sorry. Remember, it's an independent game.
Other Worlds.
"Other Worlds" is correct! :D +5 points for knowing about such a great game.
I really enjoyed it, apart from the ewnding when Alkis falls into the river and dies. But everyone had a 'come back to life after death' spell didn't they? So why didn't he? And then after he dies, you wake back up in the Asylum.
In LB2, what is in the third alchohol tank?
I loved the game, too, but GAH, that ending cheesed me off.
The writer almost seemed to betray the entire story by making it all a figment of Natalia's imagination. If her schizophrenia had been explored more, and if she really had to struggle with reality throughout the game, then maybe this final twist wouldn't seem so sudden. I did like the chapter in the middle where she actually solved puzzles in the clinic, though.
Oh, and here's my guess: A dead body?
Unicorns? :P *knows that's in one of them* XD
So is some dead King... How could they have killed all those poor, little unicorns? :'(
Is Moody Blues right?
No but there is a king floating in one of them. And if Laura falls in then there are two bodies :P
A king? Do you mean the mummy of King Tut? (Don't tell me King Graham is in there! XD)
No I think it's King Edward, (yes, really). :P
:suffer: What a weird game! Maybe I shouldn't have put it on my Christmas list ;D
So... am I correct?
There is a body in one of the vats, but not in the third one. There would be of course were Laura to die and fall in. But I don't mean that, so no you are not correct. It's a pretty good game though.
Laura Bow 2 is one of my favorite games. I might have to play it now to get the answer. XD
EDIT: Aha! Snakes!
Koala Bear. Koalas are not bears >:(
Ah well, hopefully people realise that these days :P

I can't help the fact that I've never played any LucasArt games. It's too late now. :P

I know this one!!! Ok, actually, I don't, but I did play it. :P

Perhaps ::)....
I refuse to answer even if I would know it. Please PM me the answer (to whether it's a fan game), I have no trivia. :P
Yes it's a fan/amateur adventure game.
Ben Jordan: Case 2. ;D That was a short but fun game.
Yes! (technically it was Ben Jordan Paranormal Investigator 2: The Case of the Sunken Galleon.) It is available for download at the AGS site. I didn't finish it because I couldn't go anywhere else and didn't know where to get malt but what I played of it was good.
Big Blue Cup always has the best games. :P
Um Moodyblues? Do you have a question?
I gots one! ;D
In the Space Quest series, what was Sludge Vohaul's original first name?
Slash Vohaul? Although I always figured Slash was an unfortunate relative of Sludges, maybe even the guy who lets you know about the cartridge.
Correct, Quick-Draw McGraw. :) Your turn!
In Ecoquest 2, what was the name of the bat you befriend after the forest fire?
Paquita?
Right. Your turn.
In Conquest of Camelot, where was Sir Lancelot going when he came across the Ice Queen?
Camelot?
No. You can learn about this from one person after you have consulted another person about something. :P ::)
I'll guess just to keep the game going, even though I've never played it:
The Castle of the Green Knight?
No
After the Holy Grail? ???
Indirectly, yes, but I'm talking about where was he going for council/advice when he came across the ice queen.
Never played it, so I have no clue. THe other one was just a guess... ::)
I'll give you a hint. It's also in KQ8.
Uhhh...Never played MoE...The Underworld?
I don't really remember that part in Conquest of Camelot,
nor have I seen it in MOE, but it's the only thing I can think of those games have in common -
The lady of the lake?
Yes! Good job, Storm. :D About time this thread was revived. Guinevere says Lancelot went to see the Lady of the Lake, and then added in an undertone: "You know, the watery tart.".
In what adventure game playing a piano reveals a hidden key?
I know this one! But, I don't have trivia for another game, so I'll pass :P
I think I know this one. But are you sure you're talking about a piano and not an organ?
Pretty sure ;)
Nancy Drew the Haunted Carousel?
Maybe... I've never played it, so I really don't know.
I'm referring to a different game 8)
Myst? (I can't remember if it was an organ or a piano.)
.....The Key in the Piano: A George. E. Z. Adventure?
No and No
I'd have guessed KQ4, if it were an organ. :P
But that would have been way too easy!! :P
Would it help if I said that piano was located in a conservatory?
Clue!
No

Quote from: Moodyblues on February 24, 2006, 08:28:31 AM
Seventh Guest?
Huh! I thought someone might guess that 8)
However, it can't be The 7th Guest since
a. T7G is not an adventure game,
b. Solving the piano puzzle in T7G does not reveal a actual (or inventorial, as it were) key, but rather lets you progress further through the game and
c. I already said it was in a Conservatory, didn't I? ;)
Quote from: Deloria on February 24, 2006, 01:46:23 PM
Tahnk goodness someone else has played that. I'm stuck. Do you know how I can get past the cake puzzle?
I don't remember that puzzle being particularly difficult... it's the first in the game, so it should be the easiest :-\
You have to divide the cake into equal pieces. Every piece has to have the same symbols on it - He says something like "Two skulls, two stones... the rest is just icing", and that's what has to be on each one. Since the cake remains the same, there aren't all that many options, so it shouldn't take too long even if you're using a simple trial & error method :scholar:
Anyways, if you need advice on how to solve the puzzles, you can read the book in the library - it gives you hints, and you can also use it to skip puzzle (in which case you'll miss the cutscene you get when you solve them).
Sorry, Deloria, but I haven't actually played through the whole thing. It just seemed like a good guess.
Hmmm, conservatory. It either means a school of art or a greenhouse. XD I can't think of any games with either of those.
OH! Maybe It's the one that Cesar mentions in the making of! That's about an art school. The Longest Journey?
No
I didn't get around to playing The Longest Journey just yet :-\
Ack! T7G! *hides in a corner* The 11th Hour was worse though. ;P
You don't like The 7th Guest? I've never played it.
It's scary. :P I only remember playing it when I was itty bitty though. 11th Hour on the other hand, I HAVE played recently. ;P I was disturbed on WAAAAY too many levels. :P
But have you played....
PHANTASMAGORIA!
Bless you. :P
And no. XD
XD
It's time for a hint! (either that or more off-topic :P)
Except for the conservatory, in this game you also visit a temple, a fort, a monastery and an asylum.
Police Quest?
Um, Sanitarium?
Sorry, none of the above
It sounds like some kind of time travel game.
Oregon Trail? XB
Dr. Whats his face and his amazing time travelling or something. It was also in the identify the screenshot game...
Nope, not time traveling... not literally, anyway ;)
Still no takers? :(
I thought it would be really easy by now... I mean, you could just google for the info I gave and get a first-page result :-\
Luigi's Mansion? ;D
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem?
Probably wrong, but the clues kind of remind me of that game.
*shivers*
Amber: Journey beyond (never played it, just seems like a good guess :P)
Nope, none of those
The eleventh guest?
No, this game is a first-person adventure, not a puzzle game.
And 'playing the piano' doesn't mean you have to play an entire tune... in fact, you really only need to play one note, which makes this puzzle a bit ridicules ;)
Nancy Drew: Message in a Haunted Mansion?
No
Are you sure? I found this in its walkthrough:
QuoteGo down to the basement and play the notes on the piano. Left to right number 1-8. the keys you want are numbers 6, 2, 4, 5, 4. The piano roll panel opens and you will find the piece of roll that E. left as a key for Valdez.
:P
But that's not an actual key you get there, it's a piece of paper. Besides, I've never played Nancy Drew, so it's not the game I meant :-\
Clandestiny? :P
No
Is it a fan-game?
No
Ok, another hint:
This game is a part of a series, in which the first games were text adventures ;)
Zork...Nemesis? :P
YES!!!! :D ;D :D
How ever did you guess?!?? ;P
There's this puzzle at the conservatory, where playing one note on the piano reveals the key of the black lamp.
Your turn :)
That's the only series that starts with text adventures that I know of, and Nemesis seemed like a good guess. :P
Oh, wait, now I have to come up with a question. XD Um....what other adventure games do I play? XD Um...I'll get back to you guys on that. :P
You play KQ and SQ and KH! Is that right?
I play KH, LB, and KH, and KH isn't even an adventure game. XD Omgsh! I have any idea that I probably used before! In what game do you use sand to (semi-indirectly) open a trapdoor?

Why isn't KQ on the list? :P
It's definitely not a KQ, not a LB, so I'd say it's in the Zork series.
Zork 1?
Maybe the first KH was supposed to be KQ. ;P
Yeah, Neil's right. XD
Anyways, it's not Zork.
Myst?
Ew, Myst. :P Nope XD
Uhhh......well.....it could be........ Sandy McSandpants IN: The Terribly Tough Trapdoor?

Castle of Dr Brain? ;P There's an hourglass in it... though it only opens a secret drawer I think.
Time Warp of Dr Brain?
Nah, no Dr. Brain games. The only one I ever played is The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain, and Caitlin makes fun of me for it because she thinks it sounds like a kid's game. :P
Dragon's Lair? ;P
Never heard of it, so no. :P
