Nope didn't update it, but I had a few of those you just mentioned. I didn't have
Penny Arcade,
Orange Lounge Radio News, V
H1 News or
Meristation News..
I chose not to link to
Slashdot, because it's too "stubby", and
GA Forum is a forum thread... but for the others.. Kewl, thanks Say! :D
Slashdot is a huge community. and GA forum might be a forum but it has more than 200 users online in a minute, so, it's quite interesting indeed. I'll somehow try to check my list, I think there are more like Evil Avatar and Gamer's Hell that I believe do not appear in the list just yet.
And don't call me Saydie, please lol :P
Comment by Jesse: It will never happen again :P

My goal in this run was only to link to articles, Slashdot merely referred to another article, which I did link to. The little that was written, was stubby. :P I also chose not to link to forums because I wasn't trying to advertise communities, but only articles and interviews that people might find interesting to
read. As for Gamer's Hell and Evil Avatar, they're both in the list, I think you've misplaced your glasses, perhaps?

No links to forums, please. But thank you for posting the link, we appreciate it, I won't remove it, but I'm afraid I can't add it to my list once I update it, I'm sorry, but thanks anyway! 8)
Forums are also very important to check, specially for my PR responsabilities. Wherever we are I must know! :D
Thanks for the link my friend!
The Silver Lining was mentioned in the year-end 1UP feature!!!
Check it out.....

Holy cow!!!!!! :o There are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many links!
We are in print again! ;D
The February 2006 issue of Swedish PC Gamer has a newsflash about TSL on page 15 (one of the news pages). It covers about a fourth of the page and features a cutout of our Beauty and Beast screenshot. Too bad I don't have a scanner! :(
Since the international versions of PC Gamer share a lot of material I would recommend that if you can you should flip through your respective versions to see if they have it as well!

That's awesome Petter! You should buy a copy anywho, to tell us if it's a good piece ;)
I might try looking for it here, since I live in Denmark and I know several stores that carry magazines from Sweden/Norway etc.. I'll look 8)

I have it, that's why I found the piece. :D
Here's my translation of the text:
"After the launch of the eight game in the popular adventure game series King's Quest, tings got silent. The fans shouted out for more but nothing happened. Now almost eight years later the next part is about to be launched. The interesting thing is that King's Quest IX: The Silver Lining started as a hobby project. The idea was that the game would be released for free. But that immediately led to legal conflicts between Sierra and the hopeful fans that created the game. After petitions and other actions however the publisher have realized that there is a market for the sequel. The game that earlier had the working name Every Cloak has a Silver Lining will be launched sometime next year."

Woot that's awesome! It's sad you can't scan it though :-\ But thanks for translating that! :)
Next year?? :o :o :-\ :'(
Maybe it's just a guess or assumption or something.
We haven't given a certain launch date to anyone, so everything you read it's just a guess.

Hopefully this is still true:
QuoteWe are still unsure of our new release date, but we can say that it will happen somewhere during 2006.
It could be that the article was written in late 2005 but held over for publication until the next issue.
The latest issue of the Dutch scientific magazine Kijk had an article on The Silver Lining as well. I'll see if I can get a translation up sometime soon.
Could you post it also in dutch? (easier for me to rtead ::) )
hey icarus,
here's a scan of the actual article. I bought the magazine just to see if it were true, and wanted to share it with the rest of you peeps. Because I'm sure, if it wasn't for you fans, 'Kijk's publisher never would have been interested in publishing this.
have a look! :)
Awesome! XD Thanks for posting it, Allert! ;D
Cool. 2006. It's legitimite. .......
WHEN?!?!?!?!?
Believe me, the people who write articles like these do not know more than you do. When there's something new revealed it'll be immediately announced here for sure. ;)
As for the release date... It'll be done when it's done. :suffer:

"IMMEDIATELY"?? it takes an extraordinary amount of imagination and artistic liberty to call ~4 years 'immediately' ::)
Just goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you read... some of the stuff I've seen on other sites has such glaring inaccuracies, that even the greenest newbie forumer can spot them :P
Heh, I'll start posting again now that this game is once again alive! ;D
I read some of the articles, I loved those screenshots!
This is very cool, I'm looking forward to the release!
Just saw that King's Quest 6 was taken up in Gamespot's "Greatest Games of all time" section. In the sideline there is a reference to the new King's Quest collection, which they confirm will work on XP. They don't mention The Silver Lining though.
Here's another one for the pile - It's from The Hebrew Quest (http://www.hebrewquest.com/), an Israeli site dedicated to adventure games, classic or otherwise.
TSL interview on The Hebrew Quest (http://www.hebrewquest.com/TSL.htm)
And to those of you who don't read Hebrew so well,
here's the original transcript (http://www.hebrewquest.com/TSLEnglish.htm) of the interview ;)
Thanks for linking to it, Storm! ;D
Did you happen to read the response to question number #9? ;P
Why yes, funny you should ask... ;P
Thank you for those lovely complements, Say!! ;D
I'm really, y'know, honored and all :D
We are happy to have such wonderful people around us :)
Thanks to Jonathan Yalon from Hebrew Quest for such unique oportunity. If he hadn't translated all those 7 pages, I doubt either Cesar or myself would have learned Hebrew just in time for the interview ;)
!!!!ti tog tsomla I, uoy htiw gnorw s'tahW
zeC
Pig Hebrew? ;P
Now all I need is a way to learn Hebrew fast, as you'll likely put TSL into Hebrew to torture those who can't make heads or tails of anything other than English... (Curse you IEP!)
PC PowerPlay. We're on the cover! :D

Where's the rest of the article? There's only two pages of reading! It ends in mid sentence!
LN wants us to buy the magazine... ;)
Here is a temporary link to the final page of the story until we can upload it to the forums. Thank you for your patience in this matter:

Wow. I love seeing new screenshots! My curiosity is officially piqued...not like it wasn't before, though. :P
The article doesn't include any screenshots we haven't already released publicly. The screenshots you're looking at are most likely from the Ultima fan sequel that is also mentioned in the article.
Heya guys!
I buy PCPP quite often and was pleasantly surprised to see TSL in there! Keep it up!
( And let me know if you are desperate for 3d modelers. :P )
Cheers,
- Grundy
JON!! Nice to see you again :)
how's laura!? :)
*borrows Grundy's magazine* :D
I didn't see anything new. Did you mean the screenshots for the other game? XD

Laura's great, she's almost finished her Science degree.
Me, I'm just working hard, earning lots of money, playing lots of games... the usual.
