What do you think about the new and old Pink Panther movies, memorabilia, etc?
I've never seen any of it! ;D
Sadly, I haven't seen the original movies. Judging from the trailer, the new Pink Panther looks kind of funny but pretty needless.
I do like that bit where the inspector falls through the ceiling, though. "We need fresh tow-els in Room 24." *ding!* :)
I loved the old movies. Went and bought the boxset when it was released a year or two ago. Really sucked how they didn't include "The Return of the Pink Panther" in the set though.
Anyway the new movie I haven't seen any trailers of but I have heard a bit about it. Personally I think it's just being made to make money but I may change my mind after seeing it. :-\
I saw the new pink panther and thought is was good. I saw the first old one and thought it was good.
Just saw the trailer for the new one. Looks like it will live upto the old ones! :D
I've pretty much seen all of them, even some of the older spin-offs involving his son.. I don't see how Steve Martin could ever live up to Peter Sellers, but meh.. maybe I'll be surprised.. :)
Yeah I don't like the idea of Steve Martin, especially considering he isn't a Brit. :-\
Steve's accent is the greatest though. (Don't remember the original accent though.)
I saw the original Pink Panther, it's hilarious! Hercule Poirot is so funny. Are there any Rowan Atkinson fans? His movie, "Johny Enlgish" was a riot, I loved it, had me laughing so hard. Rowan Atkinson is Mr. Bean. I hear he plays Voldemort in Harry Potter 4.
According to IMDB, Ralph Fiennes plays Voldemort.
Don't remember the old ones. I should check them out again.
The new one is okay. A lot of slapstick comedy, which I don't really like a whole lot. But Steve Martin, albeit not quite Peter Sellers, seems to fit the role rather well... in his own fashion. His accent is quite good. There were a few moments in the film which were really funny, though. Not disappointed... but didn't quite live up to my expectations.
I have not seen this new one, but I love the old ones, and Peter Sellers is one of my favorite actors. I also recommend Being There and Doctor Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb if you would like to see more Sellers.
