in KQ7 he looks better... duh =P
I dunno, the KQ4 version is pretty nice. Less wishy-washy... of course, with the cartoon-style of KQ7, the risk was there.
Although, his face IS a little sunburnt...
he looks better on kq7 i think, no matter what kq7 was a nice game anyways (graphic speaking)
I cannot believe so many of you like the KQ7 Edgar! I thought most people disliked him there because - well - he looks like a girl there :P
I liked the KQ4 better. Strangely, althought it was just EGA, it still had more colors than the KQ7 one...
Also, in KQ4 he looks more masculine and more real. 8)
Aladdin wasn't girly, but then Aladdin didn't wear tights :P

Wait a sec... I always thought they were different edgars... Because the troll edgar was... well, a troll! (kq7). In kq4, this is another edgar. It's Lolotte's son, who is now human. Explanation?
This information is actually really vital for me, because I will be remaking KQ4, if the position holds. So it might be neat to add some ties to KQ7 if they're the same edgar.

Anyways, yeah, the two Edgars are one and the same. Poor Edgar has had a rough life, being kidnapped by one witch after another. He has GOT to stop playing outside after dark!!!! ::)

Poor Guy! He's been brainwashed and kidnapped so many times! That has got to SUCK! Anyway, I like him in KQ 7 better, dunno, just do, I guess I think it fits better with his personality or something (BTW, what IS is personality? You never get to see the "Real" Him!)
It is 2d indeed. I do it in photoshop, based off of a sketch. Obviously, I'm trying to make it more of a King's Quest V kind of a feel, rather than Tierra's QFG feel. Not a bad thing though. Just thought it might be more my style, since KQ5 is my favorite.

Haha, well, I suppose that all depends on, well...to be a bit stereotypical, the orientation of the guy in question! Guys who are gay, in my experience, have much better style sense than those who are not. Don't peg for me for stereotyping or anything! Dead honest, that's what I've observed.
And the comment about Edgar after dark - ha! That's hilarious!
guys have a hard time admiting stuff either someone is taller or more built or anything i think they would say who is more appealing to women is just they would never admit it!

For a longer explanation of the Edgars:
Edgar is borne to Titania & Oberon. Edgar is kidnapped by Lolotte (I've seen sources claming Lolotte was also his aunt, is this true?). Rosella kills Lolotte, Edgar's appearnce & memory are restored. After some time, he is finally found and brought back to Etheria with his real parents. But then is kidnapped & brainwashed by his (second?!) evil aunt Malicia. Rosella yet again rescues him and this time he even gets to kiss her. Oooo!
