I noticed two scenes in The Making of the Silver Lining that contained disembodied footsteps. The first is the scene, about halfway through, where lightening strikes the tree and knocks it down. The second is a short while after that, showing the magic map. This leads me to believe that there will be a character, probably evil, who is invisible, but whose presence is made known by disembodied footsteps.
In the first of these two scenes, the footsteps seem to be walking away from the toppled tree. This suggests to me that the invisible character was in some way responsible for the lightening strike.
In the second scene, a ship appears to be chasing the footsteps around the map. This suggests to me that ferry service among the islands has resumed, which is to be expected, and that the map is used to represent travel by ferry among the islands. It further suggests that the invisible character is being chased around the islands by one of the main characters sailing in the ferry boat.
Interesting theory, maestro. I just checked it...and to me, those footsteps look like the point-and-click icon that will be used in the game.
Koko's correct, those black shoes are just the Walk cursor. Good theories though. :P
At first I thought you were *hearing* disembodied footsteps... XD
*remembers KQ6 and the Minotaur's lair*
It would've been the coolest if it had been something far more sinister than a walk cursor, though. ;)
Yeah, but he probably would have figured it out himself, considering it's the same icon we use for Walk on the toolbar. :P
It's kind of like QFG4's.
Nice theory! Even though it's not true, it's still a nice thought to think about...
