Title: Cookies and Log-in
Post by: TribeHasSpoken on June 19, 2006, 04:07:23 AM
Neil,

I've been having a strange problem with the forum lately. When I arrive at the forum, the cookie should still be valid and I should already be signed in. However, the site says I'm not logged in. When I click on the "Login" button, it takes me to the screen to enter my name and password, however the bar at the top of the page then indicates that I'm logged in (without entering the name or password).

Say's been having cookie problems as well.  Just clear all your cookies, close your browser and login again.

Don't worry, the Cookie spam will get split eventually. :P  I'm just waiting to hear if that fixed Michael's problem or not. XD

[Yoda]Ineffective, your suggestion was. Persist, the problem does. Annoying and in need of extermination, Cedric is. Thirsty, these pretzels are making me.[/Yoda]

Weird... I really don't experience this thing at all.

Ok, try clicking Logout once you've logged in, then Login again, and click Always stay logged in.

That was the first thing I suggested, but by the looks of it, it was a corrupted cookie session or something.  Anyway... *locks* XD

Just as an update, I figured out why you guys were having cookie problems.  The server cleared the file that I use for domain redirection (and anti-hotlinking), so those of you trying to access the forum via http://www.kqix.com/forum/ or some other domain other than tsl-game.com would run into login problems. :P

Anyway, I fixed it this either yesterday or this morning, so no one should be experiencing any login problems. 8)
