Title: KQ2VGA Comments (WARNING! CONTAINS SPOILERS!)
Post by: TakariFreak on December 09, 2002, 11:40:17 AM
I love this game!  I finished it with 173 out of 185 points (I did look up hints for when I got stuck.  Shoot me)  But I have a few questions (for whoever can answer them)

Who the hell is the guy at the end (The Father guy)?

Why, of all places, does the teleporter take you back to Hagatha's cave?

Is the Swan pond magical?  That's the only logical explaination I can think of for the ugly duckling turing into a beautiful swan once it touches the water.  Or maybe the old pond was cursed?  And how did he get separated from his family?

What is The Father looking for?

Ok, Grandma said the count died.  But he's a vampire!  Vampire's can't die!  Furthermore, why did Grandma become a vampire when she died?

How did the dwarf get to Kolyma?

Who invited Batman to the wedding?  Anything to do with Hagatha's cave being his "Other" hideout? (snicker)

About the bitter water...wouldn't adding the lemon (which is what you do) make it SOUR?

And Erpy..Is it possbile you can PM or e-mail me a point list?  I want to know what I missed (I know I missed the vial of youth potion, I tried to pick it up, but I guess I was clicking in the wrong spot.  Or how bout a list of a few of the easter eggs?  I'd love you forever!  (ok, maybe not forever, but a while anyways!)

I assume "The Father" is the head of the sociaty of the black cloack. In the end Graham finds out he was disguising himself as his new arms minister, Gervain.

The teleporter takes you to Hagatha's cave because... that's where you've been all along!  8)
if you look on the table you'll find that the little "snow ball" actually contains the entire tower realm!

The game doesn't offer any explanations about the pond, and not about the guy in the haystack either  :(

The Father is looking for an item (they don't say what in the game, maybe they haven't decided yet  :P). Apperantly, wearing Graham's crown will cause the location of the item to be revealed to him.

Vampires are undead, and therefore do die before they rise as vampires... that's what grandma must have meant.

How did he get there? maybe he swam, stole a boat, or got a ride on some ship... ???
I liked seeing Anastasia holding him on a leash at the wedding  ;D

I didn't know you could finish the game without the youth potion... I'll try to do that  :)

Epry:  I understand.  I wasn't getting my hopes up for them anyway.  But it didn't hurt to ask.

I loved some of the other realms behind the door of destiny.  It's kinda funny to think of Graham as a space janitor...

Another Question:

What happened to Hagatha's body?

Nobody knows. Maybe she died, maybe she didn't. This was mostly done to leave an end open for other games to fill up. After all, what if Siera has been planning a KQ-sequel starring Hagatha in secret? (yeah right)

Well, I beat it again last nite, with 178 points.  I got the Youth potion (because this time I SAW where it landed and knew where to click!), and the little snowglobe/tower realm thingie.  But I'm still missing 7 points!  Anyone know any other small things for points that aren't required.

And i just noticed, what's the fence picket for?  I didn't use it at all in the game.  At first I though maybe it's the stake to kill Dracula (assuming that was part of it, as was the original).  Even clicking the mallet on it says the 2 items can be used together (but where)?

Well, the little thing is called a red herring. We want to give you the impression that it's more than just a part of a fence, while it really isn't.

As for the points, the most common thing is that people don't read enough. (books, letters, flyers etc...)

Or they skip the arcade sequence. There are a few more possibilities.

Was the car in the original also the batmobile?

Yes it was. They even had the batman theme in the original.

As for the arcade sequence; if you play it you get points. If you skip it, you miss them.

You get one point for every "best" answer during the cloud tests. (The Madness isn't a "best" answer, btw)
So it's possible to miss points here.

Ok, I got the full score, and wrote it down, so I don't need it anymore.  I really want to go back and do all the earter eggs (once I get the darn list.)
