Since this happens to be the 2585 post I thought it best for me to use. ;D
I have a project proposal for you that I would like to know if it would work and maybe enlist some help. I think it would be rather nostalgic to have when it’s done and allow people to relive KQ without having to pay the games. What am I talking about you ask? I would like to take each game and, hopefully using the SCI editor, rip out the text to create a script, though other people have called it a storyboard, for the games. I’ve done this before for eight Wing Commander games. The only one I’ve posted one so far is here.

Hopefully this will give you an idea of what I’m talking about. Ideally it shouldn’t be as difficult because QK doesn’t have as many multiple story paths to flowchart as WC has. I want to put pictures in to go with the story a well like I did with the one above.
So what do you think? Is it worth doing and can I get the text by using the SCI editor? I don’t know anything about the editor right now so I’ll need someone to teach me how to get the text out, which I presume it can do. :help:

Well there doesn’t seem to be much interest in the idea. :(
I don’t know who Rosellafan is so I don’t know if it’s same. The one I made for Wing Commander is a Choose your own Adventure style but I don’t think this would that way.

Ah interesting. No that’s not what I was talking about. I would like to rip out of the game all text that would be display in the game and put it together in sort of a story. If there are multiple ways of doing something then flow chart it showing each way something can be done like I did in the WCII Script above. That’s why I think the SCI editing tool would help. Instead of having to play the game and try every possibility and record what it say I could look at the editing tool and copy it and piece it all together. I can be interesting finding out stuff you’ve never seen before because you never thought of trying it. I found certain text that couldn’t be seen the WCII game.
