Title: An old and interesting MOE fansite
Post by: TheReturnofDMD on July 23, 2006, 10:16:09 PM
Hi

This is an old MOE fansite from before the release of the game and has some interesting info and pictures that can show a bit of the changes that the game went through. Also, look at one of the early screen shots of Connor and tell me if you know what infamous well that is  :P

Not quite sure but the FAQ is totally bogus. Look at this:

I heard that there will be combat in MoE. Any truth to it? What about the puzzles???
Yep, there'll be combat in MoE. The combat is just a small part of the game, just for fun. If you don't like combat, you can adjust the difficulty level to EASY.  There will be 3 levels for you to choose from: EASY, NORMAL, and HARD.
Something hasn't changed in MoE is that it is still an adventure game.  You'll find a lot more puzzles in the game. The average playtime is about 30 hours.

Does anyone know where I can find more MOE screenshots and development info from circa 96-97...I remember seeing in a magazine back in 1997 which was an interview with Mark Seibert it had some screenshots: a picture of a hydra in a sea and the Frozen Region graphics but a preliminary version of them, and I also remember seeing Connor but he looked much different and a picture of what Daventry would've looked like...Anyone know where I can find this today??

The FAQ was written before the release of MoE. In the earlier builds of the game more puzzles were being implimented. Unfortunately they didn't all work out, and many were cut to get the game out early :p... In the earlier versions battles were a smaller part of the whole game. It also refers to the fact that if you play on easy mode enemies die only 1-2 hits and pose little threat.
