What children? :P
Quote from: icarus on July 24, 2006, 06:18:03 AMIt was way to hot in my bedroom, and now at work it's still hot.
That's the reason I swung every window I could wide open as soon as the sun went down, so the cold(er) night air could come in and decrease the (hotter) inside temperature. It's almost 4 AM now and the temperature is...23 .5°C. I think last night I got it to 23° C, but I could be wrong about that too. Once again we have night temperatures which are equivalent to fall/spring day temperatures, but they're promising a 10°C drop at the end of the week. I do hope that's one prediction that won't be postponed indefinitely. :-X July is going to one
very hot month. :sweating:
Can you “camp†in the back yard? I still like to pull out the hammock and sleep in the back yard every once in a while.
It's SOOOOOOO hot here! Well, okay, it's only 75 F out. But that's hot enough! :P

I'd kill for 75 F right now
Currently its 87.3 here. :sweating:
I think our low is going to be around 75 though

I'd LOVE 75 too!
LOL My lows aren't even getting there. It's 11:49 and 85F :sweating: right now.
It's so strange to hear you guys talking about how hot it is, since it's sooo cold down here.
LOL Ya I bet it would be. XD
HAH beat you all! we had 110 last weekend :o
I thought I was about to MELT lol
That is just awful!!!
And I thought I was dying in 104. Of course I was in the sun sandwhiched in the middle of a group of 1000+ people. :P
*gives Say a battery operated fan*
I went home last weekend and it was almost 100 degrees...in fact, the heat index was something like 104 or 105. I would walk from the parking lot to the mall or store I was entering, and thought I'd pass out. It was horrible!
72F . Living in the northern areas has it advantages, though it'll be 80 something by noon. :)
*dies from all the Farenheit talk* :P
Sorry, it's hard for me to picture anything hotter than 100°C since that's the temperature that water boils at. XD
Anyway, yes it's been crazy hot here too these past few weeks, ranging from 40°C-45°C some days, and that's at 9am and 4pm! Not even midday! :sweating:
Well I found a converter to change Farenheit to Celsius and right now its currently 37 C here, and thats because it's cooled off some.
I hate the heat....
In the words of, well, me: "If you can't beat the heat, get out of the oven.". :P
Today was disgusting. It was going to rain so I brought a jacket, but it was too hot to wear the jacket, so I would have been better off in the rain. XD
XD
I would have been out in the rain with no jacket anyway.
Any chance for cooling off is one I jump at.
It was only in the 30's today. :)
I had to mow the lawn when I got home. :( It was 91 and with the heat index it was 100. :sweating: It took me and hour and forty minutes but boy did that shower feel good afterword. ;D
We've been having the hottest July I can ever remember, its apparently going to be 40 on Thursday! Unheard of in england thats for sure, no idea how people manage in places where its like that daily!
Holy...You're going to get to 40? :sweating: :help: The only thing you can do is find AC or shade and keep yourself hydrated.
*and they say global warming isn’t happening.*
The worst is when it's 40+ and the bus decides to open the windows instead of using air conditioning, and you have to stand because there's no seats left. >:( :sweating:
I'm just glad my office and apartment has air conditioning. ;D
Yes those aren't fun days
I hope for your sake everybody had deodorant. XD
Thankfully, they did that day. :X
XD
looks very evil at Yonkey.
We have no airco at my work. Maybe an open window as air co.
We have top cooling. This system cools a few degrees under the temperature outside.
Aand than there is that extreme high humidity. At the end of the day your all wet. And I even have desk work.
It's too humid here. :P Yes, I know I'm just a sissy european as Raf eloquently put it, ;P but I honestly think 30+°C in the evening/night is way too hot.
We don't usually get 40+ weather here, so I really hate. :P
Anyway, today it's supposed to be raining and stuff with a high of only 27. :)

That must be terrible. :-\
Well, like I said, my home and office have A/C, so it's only when I travel to and from them that it's hell (literally :P). :sweating:
It's a cool 35º around here :P
Well its not 40 today thankfully! Not looking forward to tommorow and saturday at work though as I work in a nightclub and the aircon is REALLY bad :/
Personally i would perfer a cool 5ºC :P
Saves on the airconditioning XD
Now it isnt a night club without a "warm" feeling XB
LOL 5ºC! XD
Where are you, Australia? :P
*waves to Jason* XD
Brazil trhank you ;P
Then again the weather in Australia and Brazil is pratically the same :P

Tell that to the snow that Jason's shoveling right now. ;P
He actually has snow? He once told me that it never seems to snow there :P
It DOES never snow there. :P
There is no snow! Snow does not EXIST! It's a figment of our imaginations! :P
I was just exaggerating. XD But it is winter there right now, so I'm pretty sure he's not getting 30-40° heat. :P
Neil... get a globe. :P
It's winter here too ;P

That doesn't sound like Winter to me... unless you meant Farenheit. XD
