NOTE: This is JUST me being curious!! Nothing is being sold here!!
But I remembered one of those bonus movie things were Ken Williams talked about how they did a poll of how far people would drive to buy a KQ game, and I think he said it didn't go below 90% maybe until they had to go over 100 miles.
So I was just curious, again NOTHING IS BEING SOLD HERE, how much would you pay for a quality KQ game nowadays? (please vote on your absolute maximum price)
I'd pay around 50-60 dollars, but it HAS to be with as much depth as the Longest Journey or more. Some adventure games are too shallow these days.
for whatever adventure games are really left....Sierra claimed that they stopped making these games and the other adventure series games because the market for it was dead, but I tend to think the "market died" because they stopped making the games.
Oh, what a catch-22.
What about Lucasarts? Sierra and Lucasarts have been the two major companies for amazing adventure games, but Lucasarts hasn't done much adventure either (besides Monkey Island 3 and 4, but that's a few years ago). I wonder if they'll ever create Monkey Island 5...
Actually, it looks like it just might happen...
Sierra's in an adventure slump, but Lucasarts rocks! Watch for these titles...
Sam and Max 2 (yes, I can't believe it, but less than a year away, and also 10 years after the first game)
Grim Fandango 2 (possibility, not fully announced, but very much hinted at)
Monkey Island 5 (probably not for a while, but definitely coming)
Keep your eyes open!
you forgot about Full Throttle 2 :D
