Another suggestion -
I miss the "show new messages" option from the vBulletin board.
Don't know if it's possible here though :-\
What feature was that? And how is it different from Recent Posts?
Perhaps she means an option to show all posts that are new since your last visit?

Yep, that's exactly what she means :D
Done! :)
Click the top right corner where it says View New Posts. ;D
Thanks Yonkey! ;D
Now I have to think of a new suggestion. I must exploit the fact that I'm being listened to 8)
It seems my suggestion backfired... :(
The "view new posts" option shows you ALL the message. That's bad because you don't see the message in context, and because even if you read it there it still isn't considered "read", and will appear ever time (and all the archive threads are considered "unread"... makes for a very long list :P)
On the vBulletin board, "view new posts" only showed the thread's title. That worked much better :)
Why don't you just click on the link to the thread from there? It will take you to the thread in its context, you can read it there and it will mark it read and remove it from the list.
Yeah, that works. Still, displaying the entire message is a bit redundant. And now I'll have to go mark the entire archive as "read" :P
But you would have to mark it as read anyway. If you don't read/visit the actual thread then it will always appear as a new post. The other forum had some weird problems with keeping unread threads as new. But these ones aren't broken ;D so, the only way to remove a new post from the new post list is to either visit it, or mark all as read. :)
Ohhhhhhhh, I already marked the entire archive as read for me. Maybe that's why I didn't see why this new list was such a problem for you.
I haven't seen that problem myself...
And yes, I have an insanely fast connection on campus, so 50 posts per page is easily handled. ;D
