Hey guys! It's contest time again! It's been suggested that we have a forum contest, so we've decided to take you up on that! It's a very simple concept. Create a custom avatar!

Of course, each contest has to have rules. Unlike the singing contest, with this one, you only have one entry. However, you do get up two edits, to make it look as best you can, so if you choose to continue to edit your avatar, your third entry is your final one! Also, the avatar shouldn't exceed 165x165 pixels. Just attach it to your post!

The contest will be run for approximately 3 weeks, afterwhich entries will no longer be accepted. Then, there will be two weeks available for everyone to have a chance to vote! As for prizes, I can't let you in on that yet. But trust me, the reward for winning will be rich...it's outstanding!

Hmmm, who's to say you HAVE to change your avatar...you can create one just to see what you can do :)

Can it be an avatar of say a game character? Also does it necessarily have to be a crazy avatar? :P

Well I'll be taking the character from the web, cutting it out and I'll be doing stuff to make it look "cool". :P

Well, as long as you create it, I guess it's good. But be sure to provide us with the original pic as well :)

Yeah, it's considered an edit. Only up to three total submissions...but the last one is the final entry. :)

Okay, I decided to try my hand at this after all. :)
Since technically Zelgadis (Zelly) isn't owned by me and there are in fact a lot of Zel pictures to be found on the web I decided to include the original picture from before I altered it so that you could see what I had to work with. So anyway, here it is, let me know what you guys think. :)

ok... here's what I've done... I'm not sure if I like the third one so I might do my edits off of the second one...


EDITS: oops, these are the wrong ones... the un-resized ones... which explains why the resolution is better on the third one than I remember... ...

I've been tinkering with Photoshop and Image-ready recently specifically for this contest... My results are thus... I hope that they suit the contest well... I tried my best for it... It is an animation of someone playing the Wii...

EDIT: Just saw DD's when I was looking at a PM from him. :D You did a great job with that. :yes:

Hey, I didn't do so well on it anyway! XD The pictures were taken from a video on Google Video... I just pressed print screen on the keyboard, and then pasted in Word and from there cropped it to be just the picture from the video, then pasted in a new layer in photoshop and then jumped to Image ready... I also made a Digimon Savers one, but that needs some work.... Thanks for adding it! Everyone has different opinions on consoles, and I respect everyone's opinons well.

I'll would like to enter the avator I'm using, into the contest!

I may edit the one I have in the future.... I am going to experiment with some things before doing anything official... I want to try importing a movie into photoshop, and make each frame a layer, then jump to Image ready. First, is it even possible to do something like that? It would greatly benefit me! It would make my avatar look so much better (And maybe guarantee my win...) Any help? I also asked for this in two other threads... The recently made Photoshop Thread in offtopic and the Random Poem I wrote topic in Fan-Fiction.

it is possible, but isnt worth the time. it comes out asolutely terrible quality, and on top of that the filesize would be the size of the original file times 4-5.

also if you imported frame for frame, it would mst liekly freeze Photoshop or imageready, and completely ffreeze your system.

Thanks for the help! I figured out a tutorial, but decided not to do it. It would be way too hard for me. My entry remains as is then for now!
