Title: Alice
Post by: Rosella on November 22, 2006, 10:01:34 AM
This thing rules. XD Basically, Alice is a program created to teach object-oriented programming, but it is SO awesome. There are all of these 3-D models and you can make them do stuff. XD It's drag-and-drop coding too, so you can't make psycho syntax errors. :P This thing is SO much fun, and ever since I messed with it in my Java class, I'm like, addicted. :P

Get it! It's free! XD (http://www.alice.org)

But most importantly, help reassure me that I'm not totally crazy because I love this thing. :P

This is a COOL program! I'm gonna use it for movies with dinosaurs and stuffs. I was wondering the easiest way to make something move. I need help. I'll probably justcheck in the tutorials but I figured you might be able to explain it easier and faster. Thanks for telling me about this program!

1-make a new method
2-make an object
3-go to the objects functions
4-drag and drop the move function to the method
5-set the details
6-make a new event
7-make it on word start
8-make it the name of your method
9-hit play
10-rejoice!!

The people have a walk method (granted, you STILL have to make them move, but the walking animation is there.)
