I just beat it last weekend (Hey I just got a PS2 last christmas I'm behind okey! :D)
Saw the Kingdom Hearts 2 thread but I do not want to ruin anything for myself so I will resist urge to.....must see..no..no.
The ending made me sad and angry, but at least 2 is already out so I do not have to go crazy. The last boss battles made me angry, it seems like (personally) I have way to easy a time with boss battles. Although no I did not try the last Final Fantasy character battle, heard to much about it and got scared.
I do not know if I will replay from where I saved before I ended to get the last weapon and level up to beat the last two bosses I didn't beat including Phantom. Knowing I had such an easy time against the last bosses at lv 66 does not make one happy leveling up, it will just be easier.
Final words..Riku makes this one sqweee.
The last boss was like the easiest in the game. As for the optional bosses, most of them are really hard. Especially Sephiroth, I've given him a go and could only make it half way through his health and that was after a couple of hours. XD
Pfft, I beat him in 15 minutes, tops. :P Just use Strike Raid every time you hear him start to do that move where he takes you down to 1 HP and 0 MP. And bring some elixirs. :P
I never used Strike raid in the game or the summonings, I gave up on trying to get cheer for sora because I never used the darn things anyways so why worry :P
Phantom would be a pain for me because I just hack and slash my way through those boss battles. Having to use magic and strategy is not my thing

I don't remember. I didn't powerlevel or anything. :P I had more trouble with Kurt Ziza, actually. :P Phantom wasn't TOO bad, he just takes a long time, and it's a little annoying having to go back and use Stop on the clock all the time.
for sephiroth, i tried beating him on my first try as that was one "mega challenge" in OPM(others were get all keyblades, summons, magic, unlock all worlds find all dalmations, in under 25 hrs. and not have any fun whil playin gthe game. ever.) i got fairly close. green bar. and the he killed me.
bring plenty of elixers and use the ability moves like strike raid and ragnarok.
and play the second one. sora says this hilarious line in halloweentown. (sephiroths in the second one two. hes easier though.)
I'm asking for it for christmas # 2 that is. That way I will have the holidays to dedicate to that and the King's Quest Collection 1-7 I'm asking for too.
My friends and I were talking about the last stuff i would need to do going back if I did, I need one more crystal for that crown then I would have the sword. Found all dogs, need to beat three bosses and I would be done enough to think myself complete.
you need ultima weapon. its the best hands down. i forgot which acessories i have equipped, though.
Ah...the Ultima Weapon. XD I suggest getting that before you try to beat the bosses. You level up a LOT while trying to get all of the stuff you need for it. :P
Btw, I'm the Kingdom Hearts princess, so if you need any help, I'm the one to ask, except on Sephiroth. XD

I only need one more crystal, the bloody wizards wont drop the darn things. I leveled up 10 lvs getting the crystals and I will have enough to do the crown and weapon when I get that crystal. Lv 66.
I don't know if I want to try to fight phantom having to use magic only 99% of the time will be a big pain in the..
Heh, it's not THAT hard, but the quick L1 menu is very helpful. :P
I'm guessing Phantom is harder when you give up magic at the start? :P

-bring elixirs, megalixers, mega-ethers, and mega-potions

if you get at least 2nd level spells, you can beat him. just level up a lot to compensate for it.
yah that's my problem to, I mean leveling really isn't that frustrating, the monsters are easy to beat if you hack and slash. It's Having to use magic over and over again..ah well. If I get really bored I'm going to go back and try.
to level up quickly, just run the hades cup. it really helps.
theres another optional boss that gives you about double the phantoms. i forgot his name though.
I hate running the colliseums because you do not get any items..:( Then you have to go fight even more to get synth's items.
well, beating the hades cup by yourself gets the save the queen for donald and the time trial gets the save the king for goofy
I can do the on my own ones but have a hard time doing the time ones. I'm trying to do Pegasus cup time but the black mushrooms and Yuffie with Leon are a pain. I'm still not able to do it in 3 minutes.
I can't do the time trial with Hercules. I get upto him with 30 seconds to spare and lose. XD
I'm the same way. XD I have beaten everything with time trial except Hercules cup. :P I mean seriously... XD You'd think the Hades cup would be hard, but it's not bad with time trial, oddly. XP
I don't remember having trouble with the Hercules cup, actually. The second one (can't remember the name...) used to give me trouble, but I managed to finish it after a while. :P
I finally got past the Pegasus time trial one last night. I'll try the Herculas time trial but I forsee the frustration.

I passed the Hades cup with plenty of time to spare. XD But yeah the Hercules cup is just so frustrating. >:(

I suck at replaying games. I'll pass it once, start it again and get to the half way point when I decide "nope, can't be buggered anymore!" XD
Well I played more then 80% through and had a harder time getting crystals in that one so i went back to my saved one right before going against the end boss.
I got my last crystals and have the ultimate weapon now, I need to beat the three optional bosses..that's all I need to do .I'm level 70 now.
once you hit lvl 60, the final battles become very easy as long as you dont act stupid.
