I thought this was too good not to share. In one part of "Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle", protagonist Brian dreams that he is on a pirate ship. Check out the screenshot. Just in case there was any doubt this was a deliberate homage, Brian's name in the dream is "Brushian".
Now that is cool! XD
This game looks absolutely stunning graphics wise! I can't believe I haven't heard of it till today :o checkout the screenies and download the demo on the Runaway 2 website

Shall definately be picking this up rather soonish (and yes I'll be downloading it :p)
Looks interesting. When I have more time I'll download the demo and try it out.
Thanks.

I knew you could get the original Runaway as a digital download, but I thought the sequel was DVD-ROM only for now.
I still wish I had have picked up that copy, of the first one, from EB when I saw it. I might grab the second one and see how I go without any knowledge of the first.
I haven't gotten Runaway 2 yet, but Runaway had some of those very "out there" puzzles that didn't make too much sense. It took a walkthrough for me to beat. BUT, I did feel when playing it that it's visually stunning, humorous, and just had that first real adventure game "feel" that I hadn't experienced since Grim Fandango....not that it's anything like GF, but it was the first adventure I wasn't "meh" about since then... 8)
I played the demo for Runaway 1 this weekend and liked it. :D Amazon has it for sale for only $9.99 and Runaway2 for $29.99 with free shipping for Runaway2. That's cheaper then buying them online and downloading them because they charge $19.99 and $49.99 respectively. So I bought them from Amazon. I can't wait to play them. If I'm lucky I'll have it for this weekend. ;D And I'll try not to use any walk-throughs.
