Wow, can you believe that a year ago, Merlin and I got married in Chamber? I know I can't. But I do remember the feelings coursing through me. Merlin even said that he hoped I'd smile as largely on our real wedding day as I did during the Chamber wedding. And, for those of you who don't know, Merlin and I now consider January 14th to be the official day we got together as a couple.
Sweetheart, I want to wish you a wonderful one year anniversary. I know it hasn't turned out as either of us had planned it. I know I would've loved for us to go on a picnic and just snuggle in each other's arms as we looked back over the past year and see how far we've come as a couple. For now, we have to do that from afar, but I know that the things we'll remember will be the same. I love you so much more than I ever imagined I'd be able to love someone. I love how caring you are. I seriously don't think I would've made it through the past year in school without your thoughtfulness. You stayed with me as I worked...or gave me room to work...depending on the importance of the assignment. You listened to me as I mumbled my way through clinic reports. You have been by my side through some of the most emotional times of my life. And your love never lessens. You have been my strength, my sounding board, my comfort...and so much more. We have had rough times and as the next few months roll around, it'll be even rougher as your schedule becomes as busy as mine. But I know that this past year has strengthened and prepared us for this upcoming time. I know our love will remain as strong as ever. And, of course, we have May to look forward to...to finally live the dreams we've had for so long.
