Question:
Would you prefer to download TSL or own a hard copy?
Option 1:
Download please. I the environment!
Option 2:
Buy the box! I like to hold things in my hands
Now this doesn't mean that TSL is coming in a box but it's quite interesting to see how people view the growing trend of downloable products vs physical products.
I myself am pledging to download a game whenever there is a choice over buying it in physical form as it's my little bit towards keeping the planet ticking away nicely.
Thoughts?
I like to have it physically. Therefore you have proof of owning it, plus I enjoy flicking through the manual and having a read.
Personally, I prefer downloadable programs. I don't think I've bought a box-version of anything in at least a decade. :P
I'm with Racx. While downloading it is more convenient, I feel safer having it physically. Plus I like having the game and box just for the sake of having them.
hardcoppy and Box. Whit a box you can so much more. And It will look better.
uses box as a head :raf:
I do enjoy downloads, but getting a box is like having a treasure or a present in your hands. I can hold it and go, "Wooooooowwww..." and stare at it in awe like a little kid.
Can the box be absurdly big like a refrigerator box or similar so that we can play fort with it and any other box games we can think of?
I'd prefer to download it. :)
I prefer to hold it in my hands. I wouldn't mind downloading it but far too often they charge the same amount to download it.
I would prefer to have a box! ;D If it's only a download...I'd be OK with storing it on my memory thumb (man, that sounded nerdy--lol) ::)
I'll download it and if I want to burn it on a CD/DVD.
With a box, it comes with all the cool stuff to read like the manual and the box itself. That's part of the fun part! :P
And I SOOOOOO agree with Delling. XD
Buuuuut most of those things come as PDF's now so you can save the environment even more by just looking at them on the screen or printing them off yourself!!
Eek, im starting to sound a but captain planet-y aren't I? :help:
Environment... box... environment... box........
I am ashamed to say that the box still wins. I'm a disgrace to the Green Party. :(
Well I don't really care about the environment or anything , but I'd still prefer the download.
It'd be cool to have the box and manual to actually hold in your hands, but I'd rather not go through the trouble of trying to set it up right and install it correctly. I'm probably just an idiot, but I find it so much easier to just download the game than to play it from an actual CD ;-D.

make a box of recycled paper. That way it's better for nature. And for the downloading if you have a slow conection it isn't good for nature too due too energy use. So when you have a slow internet conection use a recycled paper box ;D

And if you ever throw away the box, recycle it. :P
Ahhhh, fair point. It's decided then: box wins no matter what! ;D
I like the idea of having a box... or at least a hardcopy of the game in case of emergencies on the computer. XD
If the game is released as an iso, it could easily be burned to CD/DVD and then provided artwork could be used for CD labels or somesuch. :D
well i have a slow internet conection and downloading or up loading anything is a pain :P so i would want a box
BOX!!! (I have dialup) Plus I like having a pretty artsy box anyway.
Buy the box! I love the special feeling of opening the box (mind you, it has to be one of the big boxes, not the small ones they're coming out with now) putting in the disk and installing the game. Downloads just short circuit the process. Also, I like opening the flap on the front of the box and flipping through the paper manual, especially when it has in-game graphics or concept art to illustrate it.
Definitely prefer a box even if it costs more. Download limits are a huge reason for that, but it's also just good to have something tangible and a manual you can hold in your hands, though PDF manuals on discs seem to be more common.
im a crazy environmentalist...but i would rather have a box...its so much more fun...and yeah there is recycling and ...well i have dial up :( so it is much easier
