There has been a marked increase in the amount of adventure games being released on PCs and consoles recently which is an encouraging trend to see!

The last adventure game i got was The Longest Journey just under a year ago. Not the second one mind, I'm still to finish the first one! I'm looking forward to picking up a few of the ones coming up on the DS soon though. It seems as if click and point adventuring has found a new spiritual home :)

I voted for 3 years then remembered that I bought Trace Memory a few months ago. So yeah 4 months to a year ago for me. :D

Hmm, the last one I bought was Day of the Tentacle... which was over a decade ago! :o

Within the last three months I've bought Runaway 2 and Sam & Max Season 1

The last one I actually bought was KQVII... don't remember how long ago that was, but it was definitely well over three years.

But I have downloaded a number of adventure games over the past year. :)

I just bought Baulders Gate so officially I should choose the first but I chose 3+ year because I finished it years ago when I borrowed it from a friend and when I saw it for $10 I couldn't say no. Aside from that I think I've only bought one game it the past 3 years and that was SW Battlefront II and I wouldn't call that adventure.

Within the past year, when I bought the King's Quest Collection. ;D

Edit: I take that back I bought the original two broken sword games even more recently.

ermm... STRICTLY Adventure? 3+ years.

but I loves my hybrids. :P

I have NEVER bought an adventure game. My parents bought them. And resently it are freeware adventure games.

IIRC Dreamfall: TLJ was the last adventure game I got. I don't quite remember when I got it, but I think it's between 4 months and 1 year. Or,  it could also be KQIIIVGA. My most recent acquisitions are MMORPG-games.

I think the last adventure game I bought was GK II, just under a year ago.

The last time I paid for a computer game... lemme think...
IIRC it's was over 10 years ago, when I bought Zork Nemesis and Little Big Adventure 2. Even then it was just because they were on sale :P

LBA2 turned out to be a big disppointment. When I started playing I found it's actually an action/adventure, and the battles were too much for my lack of coordination - this is why I haven't finished it to this day. I also didn't like its graphics, plot, puzzles and gameplay, and thought the game generally sucked... well, at least it was cheap :P

Zork Nemesis proved to be a much better investment :D

Usually I get them as gifts or just end up borrowing them from Farq.

Whenever it was that Still Life came out, I got that...(It's "eh" for an adventure by the way)...I'd like to get Dreamfall....but my computer doesn't meet the requirements.  :'(  The NEXT games I plan to buy though are Runaway 2, Sam and Max 2 when its out in boxed version, Simon the Sorcerer 4 whenever it comes out, and A Vampyre Story...By the way, I suggest everyone take a look at A Vampyre story, especially if you liked the style of The Curse of Monkey Island. I'm VERY excited for it.

Ooh A Vampyre story looks really good. Any idea when it comes out?

Its been a while since I played Dreamfall but from what I remember it was really good, though maybe not as much as the first game, and the end is a cliffhanger. But worth playing for sure in my opinion.

As far as I know, Vampyre Story is aiming for quarter 4 of this year.

4 months to a year ago, when I got SQ and KQ compilations...Unless Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess counts and in that case, 4 months to a year.

URU about one and half years ago.  of course i have downloaded some... :dunce:   and  i just finished the Black Cauldron.  but besides that i have been just working on my own ::)

Within the past 3 months I have purchased Myst IV and V, and just a few months before that I picked up the KQ and SQ collections. :)

i voted wrong ...i put 3+ years but i just got the kings quest collection for my b'day...and im going to buy sam and max episodes soon....adventure games are awesome!

There's a Myst IV and V?? WHAT?  I thought they stopped after Exile!  Idk if Uru counts...  OMG Myst was one of my other obsessions!  I own the Myst books too!

I got the first Myst hardback but never read it. How is it? As good as the game?

I actually never finished the first book; I read the second one lmao.  "The book of Atrus"  It was pretty good.  It's about when Gehn comes to find his son who's living with his mother and show him the linking books.
