Thanks tessy, for making me think of this :P Post whatever favorites you have, as I LOVE Disney movies so I could post many many more than I am, probably...
1) Robin Hood
2) The Great Mouse Detective
3) A Disney Christmas Carol (no it isn't a full length film but MAN do I love it...They need to start playing it again at Christmas time and/or put it out on DVD, I haven't seen it in ages!)
4) A Goofy Movie
5) The Sword in the Stone
7) Beauty and the Beast
7) Sleeping Beauty
8 ) Aladdin
9) Mulan
10) Hercules
Ok that's enough I think...hehe....I pretty much like them all, but these are my favorites.
Edit: D'oh! I completely forgot Ducktales The Movie: The Treasure of the Lost Lamp...It fits somewhere in the middle there, probably between Goofy Movie and Sorcerer's Stone...What can I say, Disney fanatic...
:o I love this thread. XP
1. Aladdin!! <3
2. Hunchback of Notre Dame
3. Aladdin and the King of Thieves
4. Hercules
5. The Little Mermaid
6. Beauty and the Beast
7. The Lion King
8. Mulan
Yaaaaay. XD
1. Tarzan
2. Aladdin
3. Lion King
4. Mulan
5. Atlantis
6. Treasure Planet
7. Toy Story
8. Fantasia 2000
9. The Aristocrats
10. Bedknobs and Broomsticks, if that counts.
Not necessarily in that order...
I agree with Kelsey:
Yaaay! :iluvu:

5) The Sorcerer's Stone
??? You mean the Sword in the Stone? I'm pretty sure the Harry Potter movies are neither animated nor are they Disney's. :P
These are my very, very favorites:
1. Mulan
2. Aladdin
3. The Lion King
4. Sleeping Beauty
I've only seen sleeping beauty once years and years ago... I want to watch that again!
Has anyone seen the third Cinderella movie? Is it any good or is it as bad as the second one?

Oh man I can't believe I did that...*smacks self* Yes, I meant Sword in the Stone :P
As far as Disney sequels go, tessy, except for the Aladdin ones, I avoid them like the plague...:P
I can't believe I forgot The Little Mermaid too...That's another favorite...and Lady and the Tramp!
*racks brain for a good Disney sequel...*
that's a good idea, as there aren't that many now that i think about it...
The 3rd Aladdin movie is great! :P Return of Jafar is a terrible movie though. :P Jasmine just becomes this whiny meh chick. :P Tarzan ranks sort of at the end of my list, but I <3 Treasure Planet! XD *notices she's ranking them by how much she likes the music* XD Yeah, Johnny Rzeznik>Phil Collins, without a doubt. :P
I don't LOVE the Aladdin sequels, but they are good enough to watch and the only Disney sequels I''ll watch :P
I thought the Lion King 2 was pretty good too... XP
I just think in most Disney movies I like how the original ends, there doesn't need to be any more to the story. That definately goes for Lion King 2 :P
Speaking of sequels, how many Disney movies do not have 'em? I find it more challenging to name those without sequels than with them. :(
Let's see -- I liked:
1. Aladdin
2. Beauty and the Beast
3. Lion King
4. Aristocats
Hmm, I liked:
1. The Lion King
2. Aladdin
3. Mulan
4. The Little Mermaid
5. Beauty and the Beast
6. Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs (this was probably the first Disney one I ever saw :P)
I saw either The Great Mouse Detective or Lady and the Tramp first....I like Snow White, it just isn't my favorite. Cinderella I'm "eh" about and Bambi...I don't really care if I were to not see again...Heh.
The first disney movie i remember seeing is lion king in theater
i hate bambi... and not just cause of the mother. the whole movie is just "bleh" to me.
You make me feel old if the first one you saw in theaters is Lion King...Heh. Lady and the Tramp I believe was rereleased back in theaters in the 80s along with Great Mouse Detective coming out then too...Thats why I'm sure it was one of those two I saw first.
And I feel exactly the same way about Bambi.
You're only about five years older than me. :P
Lion King is the first I remember, but I'm sure I've saw other ones before that, I think Beauty and the Beast was the first one I ever saw in theater from what my mom's said.
Sometimes I feel ancient compared to people still in their teens..It's almost like a completely different generation to me...I could go off on a tangent about emo and cell phones and lousy movies alot of people see now... and all that....but I won't ::)
I remember how cool it was when Disney started putting out movies year after year cause before The Little Mermaid they had never done that before so that was really awesome to me 8)
I think the first Disney movie I ever saw was Pocahontas. I vaguely remember seeing it in theaters. XD
And you know what? I like emo kids. They have sexy hair. :P
Yeah and Pocahontas is when they went downhill with their movies a little :p
Oh no! How could you? Especially boys emo hair makes me retch! Nothing like good old fashioned plain loooong hair *points to own head*
Wow Rosella, you're 14?? I never would have guessed, you seem alot more mature, like my little sis who's the same age...Take that as a compliment cause she's seem really mature and intelligent beyond her years... ;D
Well, notice that Pocahontas isn't on my list. XD
And...and...*likes emo guy hair* XD Don't think too poorly of me; I really do have some sense outside of this. :P
^ Notice my edit?
Its ok....I understand people like different things, I just think it's weird, and that's just my geezer opinion :P
wait, what was it before the edit??
*accuses self of being gone reading a textbook instead of paying attention to the forum XD*
Is finding nemo a disney movie? I really liked that one as well.

Someone else has mentioned that... don't remember who. Very true though.
The part starting "Wow, you're 14?" I put in a edit :P
And technically, Finding Nemo is NOT a Disney film...They put it out on film for Pixar.....Now Disney owns Pixar, so from here on out if something is Pixar, it IS technically Disney. ;) I do love Pixar films by the way, Finding Nemo being my favorite.
I love the fact that partially translating "Finding Nemo" into Latin results in "Finding No One" :P
Ahh Disney movies, sweet.
These are the ones I own...
1. Aladdin
2. Pinocchio
3. Alice in Wonderland
4. Dumbo
5. Lilo & Stitch
6. Robin Hood
7. Cinderella
8. Hercules
9. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
10. Bambi
11. Lady and the Tramp
12. The Little Mermaid
Thanks, guys. ;]
Though I assume if we're talking about animated, it's classically animated, not digitally 3-D-ified, right? I never really liked any Pixar films... :P

I
loved Tarzan when it came out in theaters. Then I started reading the actual books and got really into them instead. Disney changed a lot of stuff, as usual.
I loved the soundtrack too and still do. That and the soundtrack to El Dorado are my favorites.

*gasps* You don't like ANY Pixar films?! For SHAME! Have you seen them all? :P
Finding Nemo? Incredibles? Cars? None of them? :o
*loves all three*
Toy Story 1 and 2? Monster Inc? Bug's Life? *loves pretty much ALL Pixar films*
*grabs Tess' link and starts listing*
- Bambi
- Cinderella
- Lady and the Tramp
- Sleeping Beauty
- 101 Dalmatians
- The Little Mermaid
- Beauty and the Beast
- The Lion King
- Aladdin
- Pocahontas
And I really haven't watched any since...I always felt like the quality went down...
In more or less the right order:
Aladdin
The Lion King
Robin Hood
The Jungle Book
Beauty and the Beast
The Sword in the Stone
The Little Mermaid
Peter Pan
The Aristocats
Bambi
I don't like Toy Story; I can't STAND Finding Nemo (GAH! Worst. Birthday. Ever; ) Monsters Inc. was ok, but I wouldn't watch it again; A Bug's Life was...boring; Incredibles was terrible; Cars was SO annoying...
I just don't like it. :P Almost all of them are attempting to be some action-like comedy, and the comedy is just a kind I don't find funny. :P
This is all in my opinion though. I totally get how a lot of people like them, they just don't appeal to me.
And Finding Nemo ruined my birthday. :P
No Dori? :o
UGH. :P
Again, it's just a type of humor that does not amuse me at all. :P
Is it the 3D-Animation? Or is it just Pixar? Or is it just Pixar's humor? Anyway, if it is just Pixar/their humor, I HIGHLY reccomend seeing TMNT, it was excellent!
Anyway, on to Disney (in no particular order)....
Lion King
Aladdin
Emperor's New Groove
Jungle Book
The Aristocats
Robin Hood
101 Dalmatians
Hercules (Gee mister! You're STRONG!...Gee... mister?)XD
Well Rosella, if you don't like Pixar's type of humor, I sure hope you don't like most other 3D animated movie humor. :P Most things Dreamworks and FOX animation have made in 3D, oh man how horrible. a)If anyone makes another penguin movie, I'm going to punch you. b)Most 3D movie animation , besides Pixar's, consists of REALLY bad pop culture references that make me physically ill. That's my rant on the subject :-[
That wasn't as rant-y as it could have been. ;)
Oh gosh. Happy Feet was TERRIBLE. :P
But I do have a confession to make. Tonight I saw Meet the Robinsons (In Disney 3D!) and I really liked it. XD
It had a lot of classic Disney in it. ^^
happy feet was good and then got horrible at the end.
best animated disney movies ever- lion king, steamboat willie
Steamboat Willie wasn't a movie; it was a cartoon. XD Snow White was the first full-length animated movie.
*cringe* Was Meet the Robinsons really that good? I think it looks pretty bad.
Same here. Although I did find the t-rex part in the trailer rather funny...
"I have a big head and little arms!"
I know, I looked and thought it looked very stupid as well (Except the T-rex. XD) It was just cute. There were a lot of quotable quotes, and honestly, it was a lot better than any expectation I had of it. I actually laughed out loud at some points. :P I'm sure it helped that I was sitting next to the biggest Disney buff I know. ("Look!! It's Space Mountain!")

Has anyone seen the third Cinderella movie? Is it any good or is it as bad as the second one?
I watched it tonight. It's sooo much better than the second one (course, that would be true about almost any movie :P). But except for the rather different voices, it was pretty good for a Disney sequel.
Hmm, off the top of my head my favorite non-Pixar Disney movies would be....
Aladdin
Beauty and the Beast
A Goofy Movie
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The Black Cauldron
I know I'm forgetting some....
My current favourite is Beauty and the Beast. I do however like:
Aladdin
The Lion King
A Goofy Movie
Ducktales
Pinocchio
Toy Story
Monsters Inc
And prolly others, maybe.
*adds Hunchback of Notre Dame to her list*
I <3 that movie! Although, why people like it for Frollo (sp?) is beyond me...
I'm adding Peter Pan! Great movie!
My favorite would most definitely be Aladin. XD
Got a copy of one of my favorites on DVD recentley, Robin Hood. :)
I've only seen that movie once, years and years ago. I think I'll put it on my Netflix list. :D

*cringe* Was Meet the Robinsons really that good? I think it looks pretty bad.
I actually saw this a while back, and yknow, I thought it was pretty entertaining. Not as wonderful as most Pixar movies, but still way better than I expected. EDIT: That is to say, I know it's not made by Pixar, I just meant it's not as good as Pixar films.
Also, does anyone like The Brave Little Toaster? I LOVE that movie, have since it came out when I was 5 in 1987 ;D
I watched Meet the Robinsons recently with my sister. I agree with PK; good, but not as good as Pixar.
My sister and I used to love Brave Little Toaster XD My mom bought us one of the sequels where they go to Mars or something a long time ago on VHS that I think we still have. :P
I really, really dislike Pixar. XP
I remember Brave Little Toaster...vaguely. XD I wrote a composition in French about le petit abat-jour courageux (the brave little lampshade. XD)
You dislike Pixar? Why?
The humor almost always clashes with mine. I just never find them funny and when everyone else does, I usually find it stupid or annoying. I don't know why. XD
Well Pixar films aren't entirely about humor, they have morals and well thought out themes behind them. I find humor SEVERELY lacking in most films these days, by the way, with Pixar being a nice family friendly humor and there being a very adult oriented humourous film now and again, but there's nothing in between anymore that's any good!
Yeah, I actually tend to enjoy Pixar films more than any other animated film because of the humour & morals. In every Pixar move I've seen, there has been at least a couple jokes that made me chuckle. :P I definitely cannot say the same for Disney, humour-wise.

Yeah! We had it on video :D
Lilo and Stictch is the best film ever, i could watch it over and over!
Aladin is a good one too!
Is anyone gonna watch the new Tinkerbell movie? I'm debating it...
Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast are a couple of my favorites. I'm also rather fond of Monsters, Inc.
I'd add Road to El Dorado cause I love that movie, but it's not Disney even though I always think it is (same with Anastasia). :P
Well since Disney owns Pixar now, I guess they count as favorite Disney films XD....And on that note, I really like all the Pixar films, but WallE is amazing!
The greatest disney film of all time........................Lion King.

No they don't. What I was saying was related to me earlier not counting Pixar films as Disney because Disney had their name on them but didn't really have anything to do with MAKING Pixar films. Now that Disney actually OWNS Pixar, I guess that means they have more responsibility for them...even though now Pixar employees run ALL of the animation under Disney...Confusing? Yes. :P
Oh haha that make so much more sense now. XD
Official The Princess and The Frog poster! http://www.disneylicious.com/i_02/frog_official_poster_500.jpg
Official full trailer is also on IMDB! It looks BEAUTIFUL!
(In case you're not aware, this is the first classically animated film by Disney in years, comes out in December)
Classically animated? Wow, that poster looks 3D! :D
Yeah, now that you mention it, especially the voodoo bad guy on the right does....but if you watch the trailer (you can find it on youtube too) it shows it's just beautifully hand drawn animation :)
Awesome! I think I may watch it just because it's not 3D, yet looks so damn good! XD
HAILEY'S TOP 5 DISNEY MOVIES:
1. 101 Dalmations
Most definitely my favorite childhood movie. Immesurable amounts of nostalgia fill this movie for me. My friend and I used to spend our afternoons after preschool watching this one, and would always bark with the dogs. Since then I have always wanted a dalmation.
2. Aladdin
Childhood in 90 minutes! This one came out when I was four, and it so reminds me of being little. "A Whole New World" makes me cry to this day. I love Jasmine, she's my favorite Disney princess.
3. Hercules
Okay, I know that this story isn't even remotely like the actual myth, but I love it anyway. Herc is my man, and Megara's sassiness cracks me up. Plus, the play on words between ancient and modern times: "Indoor plumbing--it's gonna be big!" "Somebody call IXII!!!"
4. Emperor's New Groove
Speaking of sassiness! This is another one that has me laughing from start to finish. Favorite lines:
Fly (as it's being attacked by a spider): HEEEEELP ME! HEEEEEELP ME!
Kuzco: Okay...that was the freakiest thing I've ever seen.
5. Mulan
Not only is the story amazing, but it absolutely screams girl power. It's empowering to watch this one--the scene where all of China is bowing to her (including the emperor) makes me sob like...well, a girl. Damn proud of it, too! ;D
Roy Disney died. :'(
R.I.P.
Oh, no! That's so sad. :'(
Has anyone seen the new Princess and the Frog movie?
I didn't even know it was out yet! I WILL see it soon, now that I know... ;D
Haids, you may be the only girl I've ever 'met' who doesn't list Beauty and The Beast as one of her favourite Disney movies. XB
My own top 5:
1. Sword In The Stone
Talking pessimistic, misanthropic owl, crazy old accident-prone wizard, knights and castles and sorcery and a tale of growing up and winning a kingdom by pulling a sword out of a stone. What's not to love!
2. Snow White
For some reason there aren't a lot of people who seem to like Snow White, they either find the movie dull or Snow White annoying. I however, love it. It's such a sweet, endearing tale of innocence and it's also a technical marvel!
3. Cinderella
Yeah okay, I know I'm a guy but... singing mice!
4. Fantasia I only recently watched this movie for the first time thanks to a friend of mine.. but oh my gosh it's so good! I can see why some kids found it scary, though, but I think it's a very magical movie. :)
5. Robin Hood
I loved this movie as a kid and I still do.. the humour in particular is awesome and I love the style of animation and the story.. not to mention the songs! :D
And those are my favourites. :P
My sister's favorite is Beauty and the Beast, actually, but it's not on my top five. I do love it, though.
And I saw The Princess and the Frog! It's soooooooooo cute, I loved it.
I gotta try to see Princess and the Frog this week, otherwise I think it's going to be gone!
Do! It's great.
Saw it last Saturday...SO amazingly good!
Tiana is one of the coolest Disney princesses out there. I love all the jazz music and dancing, also.
Exactly! Facilier is also a great villain and Ray is so loveable!
Haha, Ray! I love him and Evangeline. ;D
On Blu-ray and DVD (already!!!??) March 26th!

I was surprised too to see that the SUB at our school was showing it this past weekend; does seem early. Unfortunately I didn't see the sign about it until Monday, so I didn't get to see it.
Let's see... in no particular order...
Beauty & the Beast (ok, no, that one's def first in any order I would put them in, but other than that :P)
Aladdin
Mulan
The Lion King
101 Dalmations
Little Mermaid has some fantastic songs and it was my favorite until I saw...y'know.... all the ones I listed there. :P Other goodies I wouldn't call faves are Lady & the Tramp, Aristocats, Sword & the Stone, and the Jungle Book.
I can tell you straight up that I did not like Hunchback, Pocahantas (who didn't though, really?), and especially Sleeping Beauty (although it had the best bad guy out of any of them! LOVED her, HATED everything else!)
I love Sleeping Beauty and enjoy Pocahontas :P Yeah, I know...I'm a rebel!
Hey, Sleeping Beauty is a great one! Pocahontas? Not so much.
Quote from: Haids1987 on February 21, 2010, 08:19:25 PM

Agreement. I think I watched Pocahontas twice ever.
You know, I think me too! The first time, and then once at a Disney movie marathon with my friends. Lame.
Toy Story 3....Amazing.
It's not exactly a film but god dang it, Gargoyles.
Awww, Gargoyles. :D That was a fun show. Kinda scared me, though.
Just got back from Toy Story 3, by the way! AMAZING! I cried like the little girl I am.
